Looking at their online shop, I was thrilled at the prospect of visiting their store in person and finally finding the perfect helmet. Sadly, the buying experience shattered my excitement. It was, without a doubt, the worst shopping ordeal I've endured in the last 10 years.

As I entered the store, I couldn't help but notice the owner engaged in a rather impolite discussion with another customer. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I assumed there must be a wild explanation for their behavior. Setting my sights on the array of helmets, I hoped to receive some helpful guidance at Helmlden. Alas, when the owner finally turned their attention to us, their only interest seemed to be pushing us into a hurried purchase. Asking about brand differences and prices, I expected some enlightenment, but all I got was a generic response about different sizes, as if that was the only detail that mattered.
Undeterred, I mustered the courage to inquire about a specific design and requested to try it on. To my surprise, the owner bluntly remarked that my head was too small, leaving me wondering about my actual size. When I dared to ask for clarification, the man exploded into a verbal frenzy, shouting at me and my partner, refusing to disclose my size. It was an absurd spectacle, as if he believed the helmet's size was a classified secret, not meant for the ears of mere mortals. The irony is that Helmladen also boasts an online store where sizes are conveniently displayed for every product. And let's not forget, measuring one's own head size is not rocket science nor impossible at one’s own home.

I'm not sure if the owner is aware, but in today's world, people visit physical stores for an experience that goes beyond a mere transaction. We seek knowledge, assurance, and a sense of satisfaction in making a well-informed choice, especially when we're paying a premium for the product.

When I stepped foot into that store, I had high hopes of finding the perfect helmet for me. Instead, I left with disappointment, questioning the very notion of a positive shopping experience. It seems the owner needs to seriously evaluate whether their approach aligns with the expectations of modern-day customers.

I do not recommend at all.

good choice, not the best prices and a terrible salsman. He was stressed out already with 3 customer's, unfriendly. And the consultations was also not customer friendly or even accurate.

We had a great service by a younger man, who answered all our questions and was very helpful. The selection is nice with some stylish designs on display. Unfortunately the owner was quite rude to us though as we entered, and we were later told we couldn’t know the size of our helmet because we’d just go buy it online. Terrible sales tactic - if that’s their fear then they certainly confirm it with sales relations like that, as we definitely won’t be back.

I came on my lunch break so I don’t have much time. They wouldn’t give information about the helmet and just kept talking so I couldn’t speak. Very disappointed, as I bought from them 3 years before no problem. I tried on one helmet asked about the size then I was basically pushed out or the shop. - Accurate!

Very arrogant service. The SA was alone in the store and he got really angry when we JUST TOUCHED an helmet to see if it was one that you can regulate or not. We left the store immediately after that and they lost the opportunity of selling 2 helmets.
Very bad experience and I would not recommend the store to anyone.

The guy that helped me was pushing me to buy the helmet I was interested in. My questions and concerns regarding the helmet were pretty much dismissed out of hand. For a store that specializes in helmets, I'd expect professional staff that actually know what they're talking about in terms of how to test a helmet for safety and comfort.
All these guys seem to be concerned with is making a sale.
Avoid, a bad experience all around.

Good choice of helmets for bicycles , scooters and motorcycles, though service is hit and miss. During the first visit I had a great shop assistant who was trying to understand my needs and preferences better and offered various choices to try on. As it was my first helmet, it took me some time to choose, and this seemed to annoy the owner (or main manager?), who started telling off the assistant in a very arrogant manner right in front of me! I did buy a helmet at the end (and later bought 2 more of the same model for my family members), but left the store with an unpleasant feeling. Note to owner/manager: please respect your employees, they are doing a great job.

Rude salespeople, just left to buy somewhere else.

Edit (based on store response): Absolutely I will make a judgement based off one sentence from your sales staff. When I walk in, and get yelled at for touching a helmet on the shelf, I don’t need more time to see how rude you are. You aren’t selling crystal glass, it’s a helmet. I’m certain no damage could be done by me picking it up to look at it before I buy it.

And btw, I already decided I would buy it from the window, so I was picking it up to take to the register. You lost the sale, I got the helmet somewhere else. No loss for me.
