We stayed one night in connecting rooms and would have gladly stayed more. Everything was clean, staff were polite and so helpful, location is A+. Ice cream bars at the bar delighted my kids, and breakfast was delicious with eggs, cold cuts, cheese, fresh bread, bacon, juice, oatmeal, and fruit.

Stayed one night only in transit from very close Rail station. Easy walk even with cases. Breakfast buffet fantastic with fresh fruit variety mix, cooked breakfast if desired. Facilities good with only downside being a single lift making movement difficult from foyer when a large party arrives.

Absolutely lovely classic Swiss hotel with a clean comfortable room and a great shower. Room safe and tea kettle for tea or coffee. Comfortable bed with separate European duvets and a flat screen TV. Don't know if all the rooms have this, but ours also has an exercise bike and a yoga mat with a set of exercise bars. Terrific buffet breakfast included in room rate. Train station nearby and tram station directly across from the hotel. Could not be more convenient. Great staff and great service. Highly recommend.

Near the station and trams outside. Our room was large with a small balcony looking onto the street, so slightly noisy from the tram. Breakfast was very substantial and good quality. Cold drinks available in a central fridge for guests use. You need a Swiss plug for charging phones. Built in walk in shower, smashing.

A 10 star hotel.

Very nice hotel. Very convninient location. 2 minute walk from Basel SBB.

The reception staff is very warm and welcoming. The kitchen staff is also attentive and quick to service.

The rooms are decent in size with all ameneties in the washroom. The washroom was quite big with bathtub as per Swiss standards. The best part is that the rooms and whole hotel is meticulously clean.

Hotel also has parking space in front for 4-5 cars which they let you use for free.

You should ask for a room with street view and you can have very nice view of Tram station and Basel SBB.

Location not for everyone as across road from railway station and busy tram terminus. However with windows shut room was quiet and slept well. Nice modern room with good ensuite, staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast great..

My stay at Hotel Schweizerhof has been ideal. I have nothing but praises for this well organized jewel in Basel. Elegant yet cozy, with an extremely considerate and kind staff, it has definitely earned my trust. For some unknown reason, the roaming service on my mobile phone simply did not work. All of the receptionists at the hotel were incredibly understanding, as well as patient with the situation that I found myself in. They went out of their way to help me succeed in making my international phone calls. In the future, whenever my travels will take me to Basel, Hotel Schweizerhof is the place where I wish to have my sojourn. Thank you. Anca Damian June 2023

So far, a very interesting stay. We are in a Grande Damme of Schweizer Hotellerie.

More once our stay is over...but it's really looking good so far!
