Perfect location. Literally a stones throw away from the main train station and direct access to the Basel tram network, so that is a plus. You also receive a free ‘travel card’ if you stay at Hotel Euler to use the trams and busses in the Basel area.

The staff were friendly and spoke English which is a plus if you are a tourist. They attended to all our requests (minor what we wanted but still they were acknowledged and dealt with).

The breakfast was included in our hotel price , nice little buffet choice of bacon, scrambled eggs and sausages with a choice of pastries , fruit and yogurt. A choice of 2 cheeses , salmon and some cold meat. Coffee, tea and fruit juices were available. A simple breakfast but that is all that was needed to fill you up for the day.

Sitting outside on the patio area , people watching in the sunshine while eating breakfast was a perfect start to the day.

We made use of the restaurant the afternoon before and had a pleasant light lunch with friendly service.

The hotel room was clean, the bathroom was clean. Sure the carpets are a little dated but it is not listed as a 5 star so I was not expecting a 5 star type carpet , so that would be unfair to judge them on that.

I would definitely go there again if I had a few things planned for an outing in Basel and would require an overnight stay.

This hotel is tired. The carpet in the room had stains; the safe was on the only shelf, up near the ceiling; the climate control was only 20 degrees or OFF; neither phone had a dial tone, and during Art Basel the price is 4x the normal. One thing to recommend - great location.

Parking garage gate in street, very narrow (!). Small parking places, not sufficient prepared for proper EV charging. You need to have your own adapters. Some female personnel were not service oriented. Rooms are old. Needs an upgrade and new paint.

This hotel was a nice surprise. 10' walk to the Central square, very nice room, quiet but above all: very comfortable mattress. Will return for sure.

Nice rooms but please ensure that the climate control has a bit more room to change the temperature. 19°c to 21°c is rather limited

I got a very simple room, which was perfect for my purpose of the short business travel. The hotel was quiet and clean, bed comfortable and the wifi in the room functioning. There was even a piano playing when I was checking in. What else can one wish for?

The hotel is located just in front of the central railway station. I enjoyed my stay in this hotel. The room was clean and spacious; wifi connection was also good. The breakfast was excellent. In the hall, there is a piano, and a cheerful lady plays it all day long. Service was also fine. So here your satisfaction is guaranteed!

Friendly and helpful staff! We arrived very late but we were warmly welcomed, got full explanation of the area and city visitor cards. The room had a comfy bed with soft pillows and clean sheets, spacious bathroom with a window so lots of natural light. Hotel is conveniently based couple of minutes walk from the station and bicycle/car parking lots (24h fee CHF 35 per car). Breakfast contained some warm and cold meal, loved freshly baked bread, though I would have expected some fresh ananas and nectarine instead of marinated ones from the cans. All in all, a great 4star hotel at a good price for a stop between France and Gotthard tunnel (in case you are stuck during high season ;) ).
