This hotel need a bit of refurbishment and improvement, everything seems to be old, in room you can’t find anything apart from bed and chair, no tee or coffee not even a kettle- not recommended for such a low comfort according to price. Recommended for very good location and friendly staff, breakfast could be better with bigger choices however this can be accepted.

Very expensive hotel and absolutely not 3-star level. Quality comparable to a basic motel. Photos of the rooms on the website are "misleading": Grey carpeting full of suspicious brown stains... Room size comparable to a closet. Tiny bathroom with very noisy ventilation. To be avoided !

Unfortunately, there is a lack of cleanliness here.
The carpet was very stained and also in the rest of the property is not being looked after. As there is no lift going up to the rooms, I had to carry my luggage up and down two flights of stairs.
The room directly under the roof has 30 degrees at night in summer despite open window / hatch and down cooling with air conditioning before going to sleep.
Once and never again, sorry!

No elevator while my room was 2 floors .
No Air Condition while they mention that there is
But staff were so friendly

Excellent location, just a couple of meters away from the SBB station. Rooms are small but OK since I didn't plan to stay at the hotel long. For the hot summer they have AC which is really good to catch a good night sleep.
This hotel is inside the Euler, so it is weird when you arrive. Just go to the Euler and the reception staff is super nice and will help you out. The lady I talked to switched from German to Italian which was a super nice gesture / attention.
They give you the BaselCard for free public transport and also transfer from/to the airport.

Is Infront the main train station , is part of the Hotel Euler but to go to City Inn or your room, you need to walk for many halls and there is a lift only for some floors, then you need to walk up.

The room was good but the air conditioning is a little complicated.

How do you emphasis this is the absolute worst hotel you have ever stayed at? This is it. I have stayed in over 500+ hotels. This is the worst. Do not stay here. First and foremost, there is no elevator. No elevator. I had a heavy suitcase and staff did not even think to warn or offer to help me carry it the stairs. Disgusting. For a 3 star hotel this is shameful - to add that on hotel description they lie and say this is handicap accessible, isn’t that illegal? And FYI I have no clue how this is a 3 star hotel as I’ve stayed in hostels better than this. Second, bed was super uncomfortable that I asked for a second duvet for padding. Bathroom was tiny but efficient and blow dryer was obviously old and one that needed to be pressed the entire time. When I went to staff about elevator they just wanted to change rooms to another room without an elevator- obviously not helpful. I never was able to resolve it because I needed to run to meeting but later when I went back to reception it was someone else who was extremely rude and made the entire experience worse. City Inn is part of Hotel Euler and Metropol - both of which I had stayed at before. As a returning customer I assumed better service and was flabbergasted by this experience. This is not a 3 star hotel but a 1 star motel. Do not stay here. Pay the extra money and go access the street to Hotel Victoria. I have never experienced such a bad hotel with service, room and no elevator. It is not in my nature to bash hotels but this was beyond anything I have ever experienced.
