Every member of staff we interacted with was highly courteous and friendly. The room had many amenities that are missing in most Swiss hotels. AC! Mini fridge! Wash cloths! A shower with a fully closing door! The breakfast buffet was perfectly good, and the dining space is absolutely charming.

Super friendly and helpful staff at the front desk and at the breakfast. The free mini bar in the room had a beer, waters, and cold tea available. The location is directly across the train station, is also close to many streetcar lines, and it's a short walk to the river. The interior has art nouveau art throughout and the lobby has a one of a kind clock. While we were here there was construction happening on the facade but it didn't impact our stay. This hotel is a good deal with the breakfast included and the location. I recommend it!

Friendly, helpful and very polite staff complement this well designed and maintained hotel. My room was well furnished, clean and everything worked. It is a great place to stay if you arrive by rail.

This is a great hotel. The reception desk employees were very accommodating, friendly, and helpful. The rooms were very nice, clean, and comfortable, especially the bed. The breakfast buffet (pictures attached of the dinning area), included in the price, had a very good selection and the food was very good for a buffet.
The lounge area was very comfortable (see picture).
The train and trolly's were right outside the door, making it very easy to get around. Also, included in the price was a Basel card, which allowed us to use public transportation for free. It also provides discounts at various museums, etc...

Really like the staff there, very flexible and forthcoming.
Similarly excellent location close to the trainstation and restaurants as the comparable Euler Hotel, but more quiet plus ECO cert make this the better choice for me. Euler has a bit more of a fancy 4+ star touch to it though.

This is an exceptional hotel in the heart of Basel conveniently located near the train station. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had a lot of free stuff in our rooms including drinks, recycle bags, etc. Our group had early flights the morning of our departure prior to the breakfast service opening. They made sure we had a buffet breakfast available at 4 am. In all my years of traveling and staying in different hotels, this has never happened before. I will definitely recommend this hotel to all my friends.

Suboptimal wellness experience
There's No Fitness Center in the hotel, rather you can go to a nearby fitness center for a payment of (only) 35 Franks!
Sorry but this is ridiculous for a 4-stars hotel.
Also I found the design of the rooms' bathroom really unpractical: there's only a partial glass panel for the bathtub so water splashes everywhere, there's nowhere near it to hang your towel, so you'll have to walk naked and dripping to the other end of the bathroom to get your towel, and also there's no handle on the wall to hold while getting in and out of the tub. These are small details but all relevant to the wellness experience. I've seen 3-star hotels that offer way more than that.

Stayed for four nights. Very nice hotel in a great position to explore Basel. Good standard throughout and very friendly staff. Highly recommended.
