I have had the privilege of using Goette glasses and contact lenses for about 25 years. This has been more advantageous to me than to Goette personnel, since my eyes are very bad (I have been wearing glasses since I was 6 years old) and a lot of expertise and effort are required to do this job right. Both Thomas Mächler and Franziska Wehrli have, at different times, examined my eyes and fitted glasses and contacts. Both are excellent. They make sure that I can see correctly, that my glasses or lenses are comfortable, and that the esthetics are agreeable to me. The selection of frames is considerable and every effort is made to find a shape that suits both my face and my vision, not an easy task considering the lenses I need to have. Another commentator has mentioned prices – well, yes, good glasses do have a cost, and my eyes require lenses which will have a scary price no matter where I get them. But there is a range of frame prices so discussing this in advance can reduce the impact on the medical budget. And Goette quality is the best, so what are your eyes worth to you? I have never lived in Zurich, and now travel from Geneva to get there. Why risk my eyes?

If you are looking for highly professional and equally friendly (and patient, I might add...) staff, you have arrived at the best place in the city to buy your next pair of glasses. Their selection of frames are unique and top notch quality; some of which can't be found elsewhere easily. I appreciated to be treated as if I were their most important customer that day and I am very happy with my purchase. Thank you!

We bought several glasses here already, and we've never been disappointed. They're competent and offer a large selection. They've been very forthcoming after we broke one of our glasses.
It is a rather pricey shop, but it is at a prime location.

They have the reputation of having the best opticians and services in Switzerland, and this is true. Prepare at least CHF 1000 budget before you enter the store. But what you get is really high quality service and glasses.

Best service and opticians in the city. All staff is highly trained and certified. They have great turnaround times as they have a workshop on site. Speak many languages for their international clients which is important to my family members.
