Small, hidden bar. Very kind friendly staff. High quality antipasto cut fresh. They weren't serving dinner but kindly offered to put lasagna in the oven for these weary travelers on a busy Saturday night.

Absolutely lovely place to eat and simply take a break. We had lunch today after visiting the monastery. The team is more than lovely and the food was delicious. Inviting you all to give this gem of a place a try :). I will definitely sit and enjoy a meal there again some day … hopefully soon :).

They just hang up on us because we couldn't speak German when we called to try to make a reservation. They didn't even wait a second to give us a chance to try to translate what we wanted... I am shocked from a place in a hospitality business...

Ins La Verità geht man, um anzukommen. Ankommen in einem wunderbaren Lokal im „Haus zur Wahrheit“. Dieses befindet sich in der historischen Altstadt von St.Gallen, im Stiftsbezirk in unmittelbarer Nähe zur Kathedrale und der weltberühmten Stiftsbibliothek.

Das Lokal ist klein und fein, mit viel Italianità und wird mit einer grossen Portion Gastfreundschaft geführt. Die Speisekarte ist nicht riesig, aber ansprechend. Wir hatten ein Vorspeisenplättchen, welches sich dann wie eine Hauptspeise „anfühlte“. Die Zutaten waren lecker, das Brot sehr fein. Wir hatten uns für eine vegetarische Variante entschieden, welche auf der Speisekarte nicht aufgeführt war.

Auch die eher kleine Weinauswahl kann sich sehen lassen, weil sich vermutlich jemand die Mühe gemacht hat, eine Auswahl zu treffen und nicht einfach wahllos ein paar Weine zusammengestellt hat.

Wir kommen wieder, spätestens dann, wenn es wärmer ist und man die Terrasse geniessen kann.

Sehr schönes Plätzchen. Wir haben hier einen kurzen Halt gemacht um auzutanken. Personal sehr freundlich, draussen einladend dekoriert. Toilette sehr sauber, ganz hinten (ausserhalb Lokal).
Kaffe war lecker, Cola leider nur Vivi-Cola. Nicht mein Geschmack, aber das ist mein Problem ????
