Never stay here! It is a scam this place. My partner and I stayed here for a night and we couldn't breathe or sleep in the room (there was no air or ventilation). In the morning we went down to let them know and that we needed to switch hotels for the remainder of our stay and the person working at the front desk apologized and said no worries - we will issue you a refund. We noticed after we got home from the trip that the refund was never issued and they have refused to give us our money back. Called many times to sort this out and they deny ever saying they'd refund us.Totally got scammed - stay away from this place!

Location is excellent very central. Unfortunately the room was in desperate need of an update. Carpet is old and stained, furniture is very dated. No blankets on the bed at all. The lift didn't work which is hard if you are on the 5th floor and have mobility issues. Plus the air conditioning was not working and I'm guessing hasn't for a while as there was a fan in our room. On a 30 degree day the room was uncomfortably hot, stuffy, and inadequate considering the money i paid. One of the worst hotel stays I've had.

We booked the first two nights of our vacation at The Strasbourg Hotel in Geneva May 13/14). While the location is okay, the bed was old, mattress was hard, the box spring was exposed and looked dirty. The waste bin in the bathroom had not been emptied. Sleeping is hard to do with all the noise from the bar/restaurant across the street. The place is old and in desperate need of renovations/repairs.

Now for the worst part - SAFETY - the base of the tub is over a foot above the floor and there is NO SUPPORT installed to help get out of the tub. This incident happened on the first night of our very expensive trip. My husband tried to hold onto the towel rod to exit the tub as that was the only thing available, the rod came undone, he slipped and fell. The front desk said they were sorry and would see if we could get a better room but nothing happened. The next day, there were large bruises and my husband could not move his arm and he was in a great deal of pain. Fortunately it was not the arm he had just had surgery on just a month ago. He was in a lot of pain, could not move his arm, and so just after midnight we went to the Emergency Room. Spent the rest of the night there. We paid almost CAD 500 for the hospital bill not including cab fares. The rest of our vacation was RUINED. I had to carry all the bags, and had to rely on the goodness of strangers to help me with our luggage. We had to cancel doing so much of what was planned and came back feeling this carefully planned vacation went all wrong simply because of no support bar installed.

This was a terrible experience, my husband has trouble breathing because of the chest injury and had to check into the Emergency Room again yesterday as he was struggling to breathe.

My husband is still in a lot of pain. We have not received any formal apology to date nor offered a refund or compensation for this terrible mishap.

So in summary, penny wise pound foolish, we should have paid for a better hotel and enjoyed our hard earned vacation. Terrible experience, so if I were you, please stay away from this place, pay a little more and stay safe.

Well located within the city, for transport, shopping and dining.

Room was dated, in poor state of repair and did not match the website images.

Great location, easy access to and from the train station. Service staff were helpful and accomodating but the room was a bit "prison-cell" feeling. Small and dated with few amentities. The elevator barely fits one person and a suit case. Ok value for a budget option in the city centre.

Nice location. One minute walk to the train station. The hotel gives public transportation for free during the stay. Meanwhile, in summer it is very hot and there is no AC so difficult to sleep (opening the windows is not an option as the hotel is in city center and noisy neighborhood). The bes linen is of medium quality.

The only good thing about this hotel is the location. The elevator is humorously cramped. The style is outdated - think fancy European hotel in 1988. Worst of all, there is no air conditioning in the rooms, hallways or lobby. During a 90 degree summer day, this makes the place unbearable (especially on the upper floors). Breakfast is overpriced as well.

A few redeeming factors:
-the reception staff were friendly
-the shower is decent
-the room is acceptably sized

Good location, close to restaurants. Clean rooms and easy check in. Staff is very helpful too.
