Very good theater, interesting space, good organisation… Except it was not clear that there are two separate buildings with entries 5min away one from another. We asked the personal to verify that we were at the right place, but due to some misunderstanding we almost lost the start of the performance although being in the theatre one hour in advance.

It is noticeable that there are tensions among the artistic personal and the administration and it is currently undergoing a change of direction.

Looking forward to come back and see some other excellent pieces!

It’s perfectly well maintained but feels like the 1960s or 1970s in terms of design. I like it, but only went for coffee!

Loved it. Specially just to enjoy the air around the place. Like the fountains infront of the theater and the great church on the back.

Everything comes in mini sizes here in Basel, including their theater. I was pleasantly surprised though that despite the size, they do put on high quality shows such as the Räuber Hotzenplotz. I went with my daughter ready to be absolutely confused by Swiss German and a somewhat boring kids show, ended up laughing along and understanding everything since they spoke standard German instead in their performances. Amazing actors and innovative playwright. Highly recommend.
