Worth every penny. The exhibits are modern, engaging, and insightful. There are interactive parts of every exhibit and even a scavenger hunt game for kids. Every item has information in German, French, and English. It was amazing to see the architecture and artifacts so we'll preserved from many centuries ago. There are also great views from the castle, of the city of Thun and the surrounding landscape. I totally recommend stopping by if you're staying anywhere nearby (we came from Bern).

We had a top experience here. Smooth and easy trip walking from the Thun train station. Seemless experience entering the castle, and beginning to explore it. Gorgeous views from all the towers. Clear, simple exhibits, and they have made it fun and interesting for children. Definitely recommend!

Beautiful history, nicely done for kids and adults! Go to explore other castles around the lake Thun: they are all cute and different from each other.

The castle wasn't open when we were there. It was impressive architecture. It was a 25 minute walk from the train station. There was a nice shopping district before the stairs to the castle. The view from the top was fabulous.

What a wonderful little museum! Perched on a hill overlooking the town, this local museum has a lot to offer. The family ticket was good value and we had an interesting hour exploring the castle. The information provided around the various rooms did a good job of explaining the history, and the building itself was charming, without too many distractions. The walk up to the loft was the best bit, with incredible views out across the town, plus the kids had great fun running around between the ancient beams. An excellent little find and well worth a few hours of your time.

One of the best museums I have ever visited, having much experience. The receptionist was extremely welcoming to us as American tourists and gave a little bit of history before we entered the exhibit. The exhibits were very informative and engaging, as well as accessible in English, in addition to German and French. Loved every minute of being in the castle, and most definitely the views of Thun from upper floors! Be mindful of narrow staircases on several floors of the castle.

Great castle! Be sure to go all the way to the top! Wonderful views. Thun is one of my favorite places in Switzerland!

One of the best castles we have visited. It’s a free history lesson if you have a Swiss travel pass. Staff are all friendly and helpful. Go all the way to the roof for the magnificent view. Kid-friendly too with a fun detective activity for them to complete.
