Discovered this restaurant while walking across the street from the main tourist section. The staff/owner was very friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious. The prices were very reasonable. The setting is lovely and a nice break from the crowds. If I were a local, I would go here often!

A very cozy restaurant with good food. There are not many dishes on the menu but they're all very well made. On weekends they host artists. There is a nice garden staying area away from the noise of the main road but close to everything. We enjoyed the friendly service and food a lot

I walked in at 2pm, based in the high google reviews. There were no diners so I politely asked if they were open. There was 1 staff member at the bar, but I didn't appreciate his rudeness and sarcasm in his response. He told me that the door is open and the lights are on so of course they're open. I was quite offended and didn't stay for lunch.

excellent seasonal menu with locally sourced produce. owner is charming and is obviously very particular about details - a great time guaranteed!!

What a wonderful Location. This is definitely one of the most stylish Places to go in Lucerne. Great Atmosphere and very friendly Hosts. The 1940tis Charme is very unique and convincing. The Food is very good and not to pricy. I will return for shure...

Wir haben das Lokal mit nostalgischem Wohlfühlambiente exklusiv für unseren Anlass reserviert. Das Wirtepaar Manon und Mario führen das Kommod le Restaurant mit Herzblut. Mario führte uns mit seinem besonderen Charme gekonnt durch den Abend. Beim warmen schönen Sommerabend schätzten wir auch den tollen Aussensitzplatz als Erweiterung des Lokals. Mario konnte uns mit seinen Musik Connections die für uns stimmige Liveband "Danny and the two toms" empfehlen. Wir durften ein wunderbar köstliches Apéro riche und später mit antikem Velo und Wagen eingefahrenes super feines, erfrischend zubereitetes Risotto geniessen. Unsere Gäste waren begeistert. Alles hat bis ins letzte Detail gepasst. Alle Speisen liebevoll, frisch zubereitet. Preis und Leistung stimmen. Wir kommen gerne immer wieder ins Kommod, vor allem jeweils zum kommoden Donnerstag Abend bei wechselnder Live Musik. Herzlichen Dank für alles Manon, Mario und Team. Andrea und Linus

+ Schönes Ambiente mit warmen Licht
+ Essen geschmackvoll
+ Netter und eloquenter Wirt
+ Allgemein schön eingerichtet

- Überteuert, von Vorspeise bis Dessert, alles teurer als bei anderen guten Restaurants, qualitativ ist der Preis nicht gerechtfertigt
- Kleiner Salat 9.50.- (wirklich klein und nur Blattsalat), Hauptgang 52.- mit genug Fleisch, aber viel zu wenig Beilagen (und diese kosten nicht viel), Dessert 22.50 für ein „spezielles“ Creme brullée in Kuchenform (wirklich enorm klein)
- Kleine Portionen, wir waren 10 Männer und alle hatten zu wenig, mussten noch Brot als „Nachgang“ bestellen
- Sehr kleine Karte - 1 Fleischmenu, 1 Fischmenu, 2 vegane, thats it.

Für Leute, welche das Ambiente und den Wirt schätzen und an kleinen Portionen zufrieden sind, ist es empfehlenswert, für Bürger mit durchschnittlichem Hunger eher nicht empfehlenswert. Schade eigentlich, das Essen war fein.
