I’m a triathlete and wanted to rent a high end bike while I stayed in the Lucerne area for a couple weeks with my family. The team at Boardlocal was super friendly and responsive. I emailed them about renting a bike with my specifications and they replied quickly and confirmed availability. Paper work was simple. They gave me a Pinarello Dogma with all high end components. It wasn’t cheap, but it was the going rate. The bike was amazing! Road all over the Swiss countryside and by the lakes.

Great experience. We were able to rent bikes for half the day at a discounted rate. Bikes were in great shape and were pumped up and checked before being handed over to us. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to rent bikes in Luzern!

We are Brazilians, we came to Lucerne and rented two fantastic Pinarello bikes in perfect condition for an excellent ride. Tobias and his team were very helpful, including tips on the best itinerary. For sure, if you come to Lucerne, this is the right place to rent a bike. I hope I can follow the tips and rent a day in the other store in St Moriz next time too. Obrigado

perfect bike rental shop. thanks to guys there i have perfect road bike experience in switzerland. i rent s-works tarmac 7 and works like a charm. very friendly staff, of course they have a good coffee, too.

Stefan was super helpful with suggestions and assistance. We had one snafu- after swapping out bikes, whoever prepped the second one put the pedals on wrong, which resulted in our being stuck about 5k into our day. Stefan handled it like a pro- he brought out new cranks straight away and gave us a credit for our troubles. Highly recommended.

We rented 2 road bikes from BL in Luzern during our holiday in June and had an excellent experience from the shop. We were looked after by Stefan who was great and ensured the bikes were set up for our height. He gave them a final check over before letting them out the shop and we encountered no problems, technical or otherwise, during our 3 day hire. The bikes were fabulous Pinarello Dogmas - so nice to ride something so smooth and different from our bikes at home. Would recommend for any visitors looking for a quality bike hire of a performance road machine.

Excellent store! We rented two electric bikes for the day! The bikes were in excellent condition and the store attendants were kind and made the whole rental process quick. Next thing you know we were already biking and seeing all the wonderful spots of Lucern! Thank you!!!!

Fantastic bike shop and road bike rental for the week I was in Lucerne. Absolutely incredible rental bike, and I excellent service and advice (routes, etc) from Stefan. I’d highly recommend BIKElocal BOARDlocal for any cyclist visiting Lucerne.
