The other day, we went to see the opera Norma by Vincenzo Bellini given by the Lausanne opera and first produced at La Scala in Milan in 1831. Both the scenography and the presentation were magnificent, so don't miss the opportunity if you can still find tickets. During the pause you can sip a glass of champagne with your beloved one and afterwards there is a posiibility for late dining at the Restaurant du Théatre.

Visited for Bernstein's Candide, an excellent production. Visitor experience was great, with friendly staff. Surtitles clear and displayed in three unobtrusive locations.

Recently renovated and returned to previous splendor, the opera house is not too large and all seats are in an excellent position to enjoy the performances. Quality vs price is consistently very good, this is not a high-profile venue, and is therefore somewhat under-appreciated.

It may be a small town Lausanne, but with an opera house & shows that put major cities to shame! I've been to so many shows, ballets and opera for children.... the shows are always incredible! If in Lausanne - you've got to go!

Beautiful theatre, the space is very pleasant and comfortable, I advise to book at least one month in advance for any show.
