Beautiful traditional bistro with friendly service excellent food. Very close to the Opera so you can combine. I had the egg with Mont d’Or cheese and it was amazing.

The food is excellent and the service good. Tip: Avoid the petite waitress with a tattoo in the neck.

An institution in Lausanne. The walls are covered with celebrities having dined here. Great food and impressive wine list. Friendly staff.

Was a nice night, with great dishes all around. The panisse was something different I've never tried nor anyone in the table had heard of and it was amazing. They have a selection of local wine as well...had the Viognier which was one of my favourite white wines.

The prices are what you would expect given thing are more expensive in Switzerland

After several dinners, I can say that you can't go wrong Au Chat Noir.

That is a crazy genius. A heavy drinker, like many crazy artists. Believe it or not: Just the best bistrot in Switzerland and probably quite beyond.

We were recommended this restaurant by another nearby which had mislaid our booking for my birthday and was full.
The board which we assumed was the day's four specials turned out to be all they had, so the choice was limited.
There was no menu as such, only a board on a nearby table and when we tried to look over at it, the people at the table looked scandalised, as if we were trying to see what they were doing, rather than simply see what was on sale.
Not a very welcoming experience.
My meal was quite good, nothing to rave about, but one of the other people with me found the food to be average, and the other hated it.
The price tag was extortionate.
All in all, a very disappointing evening.
I often pass by, but I would never eat here again. There are many other restaurants in town with much better quality food and much better service.
