We spent one night in Zurich and so stayed in this hotel. Had we been staying 2 nights I would have found a different hotel. It was in a great location right next to the train station. However, that is a bit of a hike from downtown Zurich. It was under construction. The room was not the cleanest. The staff was amazing though. I would not recommend that you stay here.

Very dirty and old. Lack of functional air conditioning. I did not enjoy our stay and would not recommend.

Our room was on the same floor as the train station. People could see inside and there is often noise coming from the trains braking. This hotel is literally 5m from the train station.

If you book this, pray that you don't get a room on the east side.

I stayed one night in Montbrillant on passing through Geneva from Lauterbrunnen. It was a really charming hotel for the one night we were there. Each room had two robes and clean linens. We had a nice window view the looked over the front of the hotel. It is located right in the Les Grottes area, so there is a very artsy and bohemian vibe.

Could not be more conveniently located - many trains from the airport stop first right outside the front door (given it's the main Geneva train station after all). The desk is multilingual and helpful as well.

In addition to easy train and bus access - and the hotel includes a transit pass for all guests - lots of fun restaurants, bars, even a couple of parks, are close by.

The room is... cozy, perfectly functional, including the shower stall and a mini refrigerator. WiFi is a city effort, not their own private, but it's included. Breakfast was surprisingly wide ranging as well. It's not a cheap hotel (it's Geneva) but for this newbie to the city it's a perfect home base.

This hotel is undergoing rebuilding which was not announced at the time of booking. The room allocated was in a rather dingy annex, simple things were missing such as shampoo or milk/cream with the tea and coffee. For what was an extremely high price, this cannot be regarded as a 4 * experience

Very friendly receptionist, knowledgeable, not afraid to have a genuine chat, service with a genuine smile. It makes all the difference! Definitely recommend.
