I love this place. It really has good choices to the comercial movies. I found good documentaries and movies. They are part of several festivals. Some of the salles don't have air conditioning, thus it is sofocating on summer.

Great movie theater with alternative and independent movie options, and a lot of Festivals and seasonal events. Accessible for people with disabilities and helpful staff. Different options for food, albeit a little on the expensive side.

Maison des Arts du Grutli is an arts centre that comprises a cinema, a ground floor artistic cafe, ADC studios for dance and theatre rehearsals and a theatre. It also has an information desk/reception where you can find leaflets and brochures of art and culture events in Geneva, sometime includes Lausanne too. You can buy tickets to performances and concerts in Geneva at the information desk. Please note that the receptionist speaks French, with limited English. The Maison, although located in a 19th century building, inside has more of a 90s modern feel. Cinema and theatre run screenings and shows that are more off beat path, less of main stream but not high brow either.

At the underground floor of the Maison des Arts du Grütli there are 2 cinemas : one large and one small. The latter is quite unconfortable for people with long legs as space is limited. In the alley by the cashier there are nice seats and books. Movies shown here are most of the time very good. But rate is a bit too high for "old movies" : CHF 14. Still a good place for great movies watching though.

Very nice small cinema dedicated to the art of film. Often shows retrospectives, such as
the films of Milos Forman currently.
2 "salles de projection", low ticket prices.

Solid programming: classics, directors' retrospectives, indie movies from around the world. Pleasant unpretentious vibe. Decent café, useful to meet up in a convenient location.

Located in the bank district.Usually presents very interesting choice of either classic movies or "off the main stream" ones. Small cinema, although not very comfortable.For cinema lovers.
