Proactively I know I will receive an apology but that's not good enough. I took legal insurance with Orion for the whole family in 2021. So far we have reached out for 5 different cases and what a surprise there was always a loophole to not cover me or my family. My contract was the premium one and most expensive of all possibilities. Every time a different excuse and the most disappointing was that if I talked to different Orion representatives for the same case, each time I was getting a different answer. The "funniest" incident of all which just sealed my decision to stop paying this insurance was a trip abroad at which I faced a problem and I called Orion for consultation. The answer of the Orion lawyer I was connected to, was to find a local country lawyer to take over my case and of course pay for this service despite me paying already Orion. Needless to say that my insurance covered me globally. Very disappointed and a waste of my money. No thanks, never again

Not recommended.
- No CMS to know hw mamny hours of advisory and per year I have
- No no extra option to buy if we have some extra problems
- Avoiding real action to help when I really need it

The one claim I opened was closed only because the annoying neighbours left the adjacent flat, after years of harassing, with little done from #Orion, and all of it fruitless.
Even during a mediation hearing, that we set up ourselves, they refused to participate and help, so we had to pay for an additional counselor.
The external lawyer charged with consulting even suggested that the only thing we could do was spending money in an air purifying system - to be installed in the counterpart’s flat! He seemed more interested in the neighbour’s freedom to smoke through our apartment than in our best interest.

So soon as possible I’ll search a different partner.

Edit: when I could read the letter it didn’t do much to improve the situation. No further contact upon additional enquiry.

I have been an Orion customer since 9 years. Despite Switzerland being a highly regulated society, there have been many occasions where I have been exposed to multiple conflicts with employers, landlord, and various sales and other associated transactions. Orion has always been there and delivered 100% on their commitments in terms of competent legal advice, explaining my legal rights in various cases and legally represented me and secured me in receiving my legal rights. I can only recommend everyone to not only have a Legal Insurance but to have it done via Orion based on my and other people's experience.

Orion's legal insurance was sold to me through my company with an "employee discount" but it turned out to be a total rip off. I got my car towed recently and when I asked for legal advice/help I was told that my policy only covered car related issues when I was driving the vehicle (in other words, nothing is covered when the car is stationary). I've worked in the insurance industry and to me , this is the sign of a company that will have a thousand sneaky loopholes in the contract to get out of doing what you thought you were paying them to do. Do yourself a favour and find a more reputable company for your legal insurance needs. I know that's what I'll be doing.

I only took Legal Protection Insurance with ORION as it was offered to me together with my car's insurance from Zurich.
I never expected I would ever need it.
It turned out to be one of the wisest decisions I have ever made..
At a very difficult time of my life when I was being treated very unfairly I asked ORION for help without knowing what to expect.
Mrs Elena van Koeveringe| very thoroughly and quickly reviewed my circumstances and appointed a law firm which took my case from the beginning till the end to a very successful outcome with all legal fees covered by my ORION policy.
I'm grateful for the help and would certainly highly recommend ORION

I always had great interactions with them. They gave great advices on the phone, they refunded me some legal fees and they even directly wrote a letter for solving a legal issue.

Orion obviously employes buerocrats who's only job is to reject any case that could result in legal work (their core business).
However, the fees are cashed in without any hesitation.
My advice: don't waste one cent and your energy on Orion.
