Located close to center, near public transport. Not so quite as you would expect because trams are very noisy and frequent. Staff ok, room ok for the price, clean. Breakfast bread, low quality cheese and salami, sweet stuff, no vegetables. But and this is a big but, breakfast is served from 8 am on Sunday and holidays, too too late, especially if you're planning a day trip like we did.

Great location very close to the old town and university. The rooms are large comfortable and clean except for the carpets that need renewing. We were in a corner room and even with the windows closed we could hear the rumble of the trams going by, but there is very little extra traffic. No air conditioning but a fan was provided and tea/coffee and a fridge. The heating is centrally provided and was not on. There is a very nice Indian restaurant attached but a little bit expensive as is all of Basel! Need to book on a Friday or Saturday as it is very popular. Staff are helpful and friendly. Good value for Basel.

I booked a “double room” with “ 2 twin beds” (as clearly stated on the confirmation from the booking.com) and the hotel gave me a single room with 1 twin bed (as also confirmed on the invoice) with the argument that i booked a room for 1 person so i only get a single room (?!) then they said i can have a double room if i pay 20 chf more and that if i dont want and if i dont like the room i can get my money back and leave. What else to say, they are not interested in happy customers.

The hotel manager is rude to guests of the bar in the hotel. He yelled at guests for the slightest noise, even when not loud. The bar is great though

Basic, comfortable, perfectly located at reasonnable price for Basel… some rooms can be a bit noisy from the tram… breakfast was ok. Very friendly staff :)

Nice position close to the city center but quite at night. Easy to reach from the airport. Average room quality, nice breakfast. The hotel provides you a ticket for traveling with public transportation during your stay.

Brilliant service! Nice rooms, 303 had a good view and was very comfortable. Excellent location for walking to see the sights and find coffees and food. Helpful staff, very friendly and efficient.
