Very kind staff, central location, impeccable cleanliness and a nice gym. What else would one need? ????????

Oh and the showers/sink have optimal water pressure. Bed linen has good thread count. I recommend the pillows be changed (4 instead of 2).

I will be back.

On a hill directly in the centre of Basel within walking distance of the major city centre sites. Great room, spacious and modern with walk-in shower in light and airy bathroom. Very friendly staff on front desk who enjoyed a chat and a joke. Good value for money. Recommended.

We stayed for 4nights ,my husband and me. Room was really comfortable and clean.
Shower just amazing. Staff is really friendly and professional. We had breakfast each morning there a good selection of food and tasty. We definitely will choose again if we come here . Thank you!

Room was fine. Good bed. Quiet. Good location.
The breakfast bar was chaotic. Avoid. They were seriously understaffed and could not keep up with demand. Food like scrambled eggs, bacon, croissants was constantly out and guests were visibly annoyed. „We are not magicians“ is also not a good or professional response when guests point out missing food or dishes. ;-)

Absolute gem! Would stay here every single time I’m in Basel. One of the few hotels I’ve been to where I would be happy for them to charge more. Massive value for the price. Boutique hotel at budget hotel prices with top notch services and very friendly staff!

Small hotel, great location, amazing gym.
Had a lovely short stay. Personnel was very friendly, and location is perfect.
Although the entrance is located in a non-descript street, exiting the back of the hotel and you’re actually in the old town just going down a few stairs!

Oh, and another thing to note for those who care: I’m used to staying in large hotels, so this small hotel was an exception. But the gym is *huge* for a hotel gym! And well equipped with modern technogym equipement. If you want to workout during your stay, this clearly is a plus!

Very spacious rooms. Clean. The gym is impressive for a hotel gym. The staff were friendly and helpful. I’ll be happy to return.

I have been staying many times at The Passage for business trips! It's really perfect, spacious and clean room!
Staff is extremely nice, welcoming and client oriented!
I strongly recommend staying at The Passage and looking forward to my next trip!
