Amazingly delicious open sandwiches! A must go hole-in-the-wall place whenever you're in Basel. It won't break your budget either and you can point to what you like, so easy for non native German speakers too. Take a seat at the window for people watching!...

Unfortunately it was closed on 26.12 although they didn't mention this anywhere and they were open on 25.12

Legendary restaurant with a big variety of sandwiches. Not to forget is the restaurant upstairs, Stadthof with excellent pizza! I go from times to times. Nice staff!

Love Swiss brotli do a bar focused on this seemed like a sure bet. Now brotli is the Swiss version of the Italian Cicchetti or Basque pintox so great for lunch or snack. However, for the price and quality, we found as good a selection and better value at Migros take away at Bamkverine up the street. Good but expensive lunch.
