After sharing my concerns about the aging equipment, ventilation and cleanliness problems, it's great to see some improvement. I also understand that some of the equipment will be upgraded. Please keep up the effort to make Activ Fitness in Affoltern a.A. a great and healthy place to work out.

I only go to Afforltern Activ Fitness for Sauna, so can only comment on that. Although a bit small, having only two rooms, buts it's OK, although sometimes a bit crowded. Temperature good, size I would say medium. There are few downsides. They don't have a water fountain or any source of drinking water, you have to go to locker rooms to drink from the tap, or you bring you own bottle with water. ???? And once you do, there is only one shelf to put it on... ehhh. Another thing is, there are only 5 deck chairs to lie on ☹️, quite often I see people just standing around when resting. ???????????????? Both thumbs down. Also, a balcony would be nice to go to cool down in cold weather, but that just extra as I am being picky now. Overall, I would say 2.5/5

You get what you pay for.

The free weights area could really be bigger. Usually this area is quite packed by default and you'll have to wait for the machines / rack to free up. Also there are no standard 20KG barbells.

If you're looking for a place to get your standard workout in and you don't mind mid-class gear, then this could be a gym for you.
However if you're like me and use way more free weights exercises (powerlifting) then I would not recommend.

+ Staff is quite friendly and uncomplicated.
- No locks for the locker room, have to bring one yourself.
- Opening hours could be longer (earlier in the morning) and also a shame that it closes at 6PM on weekends.

Quite small and crowded, sometimes it's way too hot in there, as little fans on the floor don't help much. I also don't really understand the 'no tank top' rule. Opening hours are quite bad...

The kinderhort is the best here. My son loves it. The gym is big and not too crowded in the morning.
