Was okay... the beaf was overlooked for my taste, and the waiting time was too long. Staffing was friendly, the place was clean, paper napkins, no tablecloth which I expected for a valentines dinner for two, with a price range starting from 170.-.

Nice cozy restaurant. Tom Yum soup was very delicious. other dishes were quite spicy and in the menu there were no signs how spicy is the dish. So better double check with the stuff, if you don’t like too spicy food.

The Thai gem of Zurich!
I was lucky to have dinner at Zawan with my family late last year before the closure of all restaurants and truly loved it.
We had an early dinner with our young son and the owner Siri was very kind and gave us the best recommendations. We tried their specialty « thai tagliata » which was to die for! And the most delicious chicken satay amongst other yummy dishes. Don’t hesitate to mention if you like spicy or less spicy as they cook everything fresh and can adjust to your taste.
Since the restaurants are closed, we’ve been ordering take away there quite regularly because their menus are so delicious and change every week.
I’ve rarely tasted such exquisite Thai food (and I’ve lived in London, so my expectations are quite high in terms of Asian restaurants :-).
My favourite items from the classic menu are their Thai basil chicken and their larb gai. We’ve tried some of their « journey » menus as well - the most amazing one so far being the Lunar Love Journey with Wagyu beef in panang curry. It was sooooooooo soooo good.
Since moving to Zurich last fall, we’ve become regulars and Zawan feels like home. We can’t wait for the restaurant to reopen and miss the yummy Pad Thai Tuesdays!! And also, we cannot wait to try their romantic garden during the warm summer nights! It’s my favourite restaurant in Zurich so far !

I still cannot get to terms with discovering this place so late! If you ever happen to be there, try their red tofu curry - rich, aromatic, creamy and extra satisfying! Pad sukiyaki steamed tofu is also nice. Hint: book in advance, try a table in the garden if possible, it’s a lovely place slightly hidden and fenced with bushes, little urban oasis. :) Restrooms accessible by taking a few steps down, not wheelchair friendly.

Super tasty food in wonderful atmosphere! Authentic thai food with a wide range of options also vor vegetarians :) the waitress was very kind and quick! will definitely come back more often

Awesome little Gem in Zurich. You wouldnt find it if not specifically looking for this kind of kitchen.

We got the Zawan Journey, which consists of 2 appetisers, soup and diffrent main dishes to share. Awesome quality and preparation. The dishes are served in diffrent courses and are nicely presented.

Good and attentive service. Would go again 10/10

Very delicious food! We had the red curry which was yummy and finally the first roti outside of Thailand, this was the best????
