Open from 14-22 for visitors, parking, cafeteria, atm. 261 beds, 3 clinics, two institutes and various therapeutic services are housed in the building wing. A total of about 1000 employees take care for the patients in this regional hospital, which is responsible for the extended basic care, mainly from Zuerich nord. It is located on the slope of the "beetle mountain" with a fantastic view over the city.

I have nothing but huge appreciation for everyone who has helped me during my ordeal. I came into the hospital with the ambulance quite late at night, and was greeted by the utmost professional, friendly, caring, accommodating, and flexible staff (from all the amazing nurses, to doctors, to the surgeon, anaesthetist team and follow-up crew, all the way to the catering team, and the housekeeping team).
My surgery required a specific surgeon to perform it, and both the surgeon and his team couldn’t have done a better job! And they did it the morning after me setting foot in the emergency room - just uau! My GP and physiotherapist are amazed at the job well done.
Me, personally, I had an amazing experience while staying at this hospital, I was extremely well taken care of, everything moved efficiently and much faster than what I could expect, the food was delicious (and excellent service!), and the nurses/doctors were the absolute highlight, super friendly, going above and beyond to speak English with me, always very helpful, with high spirits and big smiles. I couldn’t have been in better hands! Thank you again so much to the whole staff.

Impatient doctors. I had to wait 4 hours in the emergency room. And finally you get pills that are not at all related to your problem and more are told to you that the surgery was successful. And about that say the doctor says the surgery was successful but the patient died

After an acute asthma attack which turned out to be Covid, our hotel call ambulance and took us first to Spital Brulach (which was excellent, bot ER staff and ambulance) and after diagnosis, we were transported to Stadtspital Waid, where there generously accommodated us with a bed in same room for my 13 year old daughter, as we were travelling from US. I cannot say enough positive things about the hospital. Doctors, nurses, orderliness and service staff are all so kind and caring. They try their best to staff us with English speakers, and even those only speaking German, try so hard to explain us. The food is Resort quality, and the balcony room in the forest is simply unheard of where we are from. Everyone here has gone out of their way to make us comfortable and our stay in isolation as pleasant as possible under difficult circumstances of Covid. I can say that everyone here, professional and compassionate, has made a bad cir umstance of travel, into the best we could expect and more. We wl always be grateful. ????????

We got here with an emergency at 2 am. The guy at the desk was really friendly and helpful. The first nurse though was really uncooperative. Either German or English. Simply don’t understand how she keeps speaking in a dialect regardless. Fine. Happens.

Another nurse was gold. She saw me waiting so crazy long and brought me a coffee. That was so very nice of her. Thanks again for that gesture. But the biggest issue was the waiting time of 6 hours and counting. Ultimately a Spanish speaking nurse showed and that was in our case very ideal because our guest that woke up in pain speaks only Spanish.

So it was quite mixed. From cruelly long waiting times and communication issues to a really staff with some moments that lit up sleep deprived and pain ridden night everything was there. I don’t know what’s going on. Wasn’t the worst experience but certainly not the best. The waiting time was an absolut killer. Not ok at all.

Unfortunately, I received several times bad quality care from Waid Spital.
I provided and I will provide further detailed patient experience feedback directly to the Hospital.
