Wanted to switch basic + private hospital for whole family (all fit), the agent responsible for handling my employer's group policy did not even bother to send any proposals even after chasing her for a month and would not even answer my calls. I should probably thank her for saving me from the mess afterwards. If pre-sales customer service level is such, cannot imagine what post-sales experience would be (I guess all other reviews give a good hint ;))

Terrible service when you have problems. They take no responsibility for their mistakes (and they make plenty of them). They said they will contact you but they don't. I'm changing to another health insurance (which is also cheaper).

Worst insurance company ever. Super unprofessional and barely reply to emails. Would give 0 stars. Do not recommend anyone to use this company!!

I haven't even got my insurence and I'm already very upset with them... We've discussed with some of their operators the details of my insurance and he said he would send me the offer by email, in a few minutes. He haven't sent it to me... Then I called them back, and they couldn't see me in the system, so they told me (after waiting for ~20 minutes) that we should discuss the details again... Honestly after such unprofessionalism, I wouldn't trust them with my health... I would give 0 stars if I could...

Very poor experience with the service. Incompetent and false description of the product. Only a few days after signing my new semi private insurance contract, the premiums were raised without solid justification, with no prior notification and no heads up during the negotiation stage. On top, I could not fully cancel my insurance even despite such a treatment. Apparently, an appealing offer was presented to me in order to sign and then the premiums were immediately raised after signature. This is a misleading practice forbidden by consumer protection law. On top, I was receiving by mail several documents corresponding to different premium I had never discussed and making my experience even more confusing. Even after expressing my formal written complain, I could not cancel my contract fully.
Therefore, not recommended. One must be extremely careful and prepared for such developments. Responsiveness after signing the contract is also lower.

I've been a Sanitas customer for a little over a year now (my husband is customer much longer than that) and I have to say that they have the worst service for even the smallest problems. I changed my surname after I got married and requested for a new insurance card. I received the the new card within a week with my OLD SURNAME! Called Sanitas who promptly apologised and sent me a new card AGAIN with the correct details. Then I went to use my card at an Apotheke and they said the card was INACTIVE. I called Sanitas again (Service agents can't understand English) Agent said that I would get a callback from "someone" in 2 hours- never happened. Instead I received an email the same day saying my card was ACTIVE. I went to the apotheke again. And AGAIN they said that card was not ACTIVE (see attached screenshot for proof) I called Sanitas again and was informed the following:
1) My card had a "problem" and they will issue a new card
2) It would take 4 to 5 weeks to receive the new card and INSISTED as it comes from a 3rd party it takes that long!
After 2 days, I received a message on my Sanitas online portal from another person saying the problem with my card has now been resolved and its working. I wrote back to the guy saying they were CRAZY because I was told I would get a new card- What information was correct???
I never received a response to my message!
Instead after 2 days I received a NEW CARD!!! (And they INSISTED it would take 4 to 5 weeks)
In simple words- These guys DON'T HAVE A CLUE about their processes or their information.
All this DRAMA about a CARD! Can you imagine if you actually had a Claim what would happen!!
I would like to give Sanitas 0 stars overall and will take my business elsewhere.

Horrible. I called in to the hotline and a Sanitas staff assured me that my insurance covers my payment for visiting any clinic when I had covid as my family doctor is not available for 2 weeks. I had to pay over 338 CHF thanks to the mistake of Sanitas staff. I later called in to check and they told me the staff would return my call but this was again not followed through. They could not provide me the name of the staff nor the direct hotline. 0 accountability hence the mistakes were never corrected and neither could they improve. Worst experience ever.

I did on the website a review and after they send offer I send email and call that I don't want there insurance and they still send me the cart - 6 mails & 3 calls later I hope they stop it now. Now we have to send them the proof that they are not our insurance!!! If they are so unorganized during the sign up process good luck for the day to day with this insurance.
