The absolute worst. I firstly ordered a book, then they cancel my order without giving a reason. Now I ordered 3 vinyls and have been waiting 55 days. They have still provided no tracking number nor information about the parcels.

This also happened to me more than once: I order a book, it seems to be available, then I don‘t hear anything for a long time until I finally get an e-mail saying the order was cancelled without specifying why the book isn‘t available anymore.
If you want to avoid Amazon, go to exlibris, they‘re much more efficient.

A book ordered online was of very poor quality: smudged font, impossible to read. The customer service responded that the book can be returned in their physical store. My request to return the book by post as there is no Orell Füssli outlet in my town, was ignored.

To a request not to include promotional material from HelloFresh, which they keep sending with every order, the answer implied I would continue receiving it.

Bottom line: enterprise-oriented customer service; a strategy discouraging returns. Not recommended.

This has happened to me multiple times now: I order a book online which says it's available and deliverable in 1-2 days. After a day or two I get an email saying it is not available on short notice and will have to wait weeks before they can send it, and it has also happened that they said it is not available at all (even though on the site it said it was).
It's like they want to hook you with a fast delivery promise hoping you won't cancel if you find out you'll have to wait for it. Not nice at all.
Also once I got a completely different book to what I ordered. It was just a few franks so I didn't even bother with calling, thinking that they would probably ask for it to be sent back etc. so I didn't want to go through the hassle for just a few franks. My guess is that was their thinking too, seeing how often they don't even have what you order...
Luckily I found an online bookstore with much more variety, speed and half the price of orellfuessli and shipping is always free even though they post from the UK. It's a pity. I didn't want to order from abroad but it seems like I have no other choice :(.

Terrible service with an "Out of sight - out of mind" attitude.

I ordered a couple of books which needed to be delivered before a certain date. After a whole week the books haven't moved an inch according to the tracking number that I received with mail. I call Orell Füssli and they claim the books have been send long time ago and I am supposed to call Post cause "it's not their issue anymore" as the books have been "sent out" already.

I call Post and they say they've never received anything to ship in the first place. I'd have to tell Orell Füssli to open up a "missing case" for the books. Orell Füssli outright says: "No, we won't do that cause it's not our fault. The books have left our facility and once they do it's not our issue anymore. If your books have truly been lost there's no way for us to find it." (They don't just vanish. They should be around somewhere)

It's not the first time having issues with this company and I won't risk having any again.

Ich möchte jetzt auch mal da meine Rezession schreiben, da es viele schlechte Bewertungen hat.
Ich gehe immer wieder gerne in den Buchhandel selbst die Bücher kaufen. Und ja Orell Füssli ist teurer als die Konkurrenz, aber bei der Konkurrenz kann ich mich nicht hinsetzen und einfach in den vielen Büchern einfach reinschauen. Ich bestelle auch manchmal beim Exlibris. Bin auch zufrieden. Aber ich gehe sehr gerne in eine Orell Füssli Buchhandlung, blättere im Buch herum, was mir gefällt und kann es gleich mitnehmen. Wo bitte schön kann ich das mit Exlibris machen? Da warte ich noch bis das Buch da ist. Das ist für mich Qualität, die ich gerne in Kauf nehme und halt auch mehr dafür bezahle.
Das Personal ist immer freundlich. Manchmal ist man halt auch übermüdet. Wer im Verkauf oder Call Center gearbeitet hatte, kennt das Problem. Zu viele Kunden, zu viele Anrufe.
Auch meine Arbeitskollegin hat sehr viele Bücher von Orell Füssli. Man sollte auch mal fair sein und nicht nur die schlechten Dinge aufzählen.
