Mixed feedback on Jakob Umzug service. We used Jakob Umzug 2 times, the first move was good, the second move was slow and expensive. We recommend getting the fixed price offer, as we decided to pay by the hour, and we found the movers intentionally take things slowly. (For example, after first hour of work, the movers took a break for 20 minutes)

I received excellent service when moving house. It was easy to arrange and I was kept up to date all the way. The movers were very friendly, professional and very efficient. The value for money is fantastic, especially for smaller moves. This is the first company I will contact if I live again.

Professional and efficient service. Our belongings were handled with care. They also fixed some tiny defects on our old furnitures while assembling them again at our new place. No complains ...only positive experience.

I wish I could give them 10 stars!
Super professional moving service. They took care of furniture assembly and disassembly, and they were very careful and took necessary precautions without being asked (e.g. wrapping important pieces with plastic).
They problem-solve difficult situations (e.g. the bed frame was too wide for the stairs, they got it to the 2nd floor through the window manually with no scratches). They went above and beyond (e.g. helped us with covering holes in the wall in the old apartment).
The cost is by the hour, so the final price exceeded the original estimate, but I felt it was well deserved and they worked really hard all the time.
After the move, we also noticed a deep scratch in the floor (understandable mistake, it was a narrow staircase), so we reached out by email with photos within 24 hours, and they forwarded our request to their insurance, which covered all costs of repair.

Professional, they work very efficiently. They took good care of my belongings, e.g. protected furniture with blankets and tape, marked boxes with glass as fragile.

They disassemble/assemble furniture and uninstall/install lamps - that made my move so much easier!

They did not show up at the agreed time. On the same day we call and they said that they won't show up.

Unerwünschte Briefkastenwerbung (unwanted post advertisements). More spam from another firm that has no respect. Even with a "Bitte keine Werbung" sign on the mailbox, Jakob Umzug's junk mail adverts spam everyone and waste not only paper, but also goodwill. This is a poor way to get new customers, and a good way to damage your reputation. No serious firm behaves this way.
