Robi was a friendly and helpful bike mechanic who helped me adjust some things on my almost-working bike. He taught me some stuff about bike maintenance and his efficiency showed through. Would visit again to take a look at his beautiful hand-built bikes.

I wanted to like this place and to start off with positives they were helpful on my initial visit and generally friendly. However there were major issues when I picked up my bike after having asked for a chainring to be installed and my front derailleur adjusted. The major issue was 15 minutes into my first bike ride after picking up the bike, a metallic rattling noise could be heard coming from the bike, and when I investigated, I saw that 2 of my inner chainring bolts were almost completely unscrewed and nearly falling off. The other 3 inner bolts were not tight at all. Thankfully I had my allen key with me and managed to tighten them myself, but there's no excuse for this unfinished, shoddy work. The two other minor issues were that my front derailleur is badly adjusted and indeed the chain rubs the derailleur even when I'm in a middle-front, middle-back position. Finally I was charged 6 CHF for pumping (and 6 for oiling) even though I didn't ask for this, and despite this my tyres were not remotely pumped up. If you charge me for these unnecessary add-ons, at least do them.

Extremely happy with the team and the result, and especially there going the extra mile to find me a new crankset so I can get riding again now (rather than wait (weeks or months) for a part that might not be available for some time due to the current spare parts shortage. And kudos to them for doing all the above in English thanks to my limited German. Next time my bike needs something, they will be the one's I call first.

* Worst service for your money *
Proud & expensive. They wont listen to you, just go blindly ahead with their own ideas, at your expenses, of course.

We went to this shop every year for maintenance. We always found it a little bit too expensive (around 100-150 CHF for regular maintenance). Everything was ok for about 3 years, we never had a problem, but last summer I had to change the chain of my bike and consequently the cassette. It cost me 350 CHF.
After a few uses the back wheel stop working, it was rotating freely. there was some causal relation with the change of the cassette. i took my back back to the shop and what I got is another suggestion to fix something else, again not very cheap.

To provide this suggestion the person in the shop did not even look at the cassette!

They also denied any potential connection with the recent cassette change. I asked: Could it be that something broke when he cassette was changed? No - They said. How can you be so sure? - I tried again, to get a "Because" as an answer. I kept asking for corroboration before having to pay even more: Can you please open the cassette and check before changing yet another part? - and the answer was a plain - It will cost you...
As I see it, I went there to fix the bike, it cost me 350 CHF and I got a broken bike. Even if it was chance that the other part broke, why wouldn't you check? Why would you be so assertive? I call it pride, and that is never good. nmot to mention that when I was pushing for a double check, they started criticising the quality of the bike...if it was so crappy, why you did not tell it before?

It seems that costumers are not very valuable to these people.

Es gibt gute Velohändler und kompetente Velomechaniker, Robert Stolz ist aber ein wahrer Meister seines Fachs. Mit fundiertem Fachwissen und viel Leidenschaft versuchen er und sein Team alle möglichen Probleme zu lösen - sehr oft mit Erfolg. Man merkt, dass das ganze Team mit Herzblut bei der Sache ist.

Mein Rahmen/Gabelset wurde wie gewünscht in Orange/Schwarz neu beschichtet. Habe es nun fertig zusammengebaut und freue mit auf die künftigen Ausfahrten.

Beim Zusammenbau eines neuen Fahrrades, wollte ich gewisse Arbeiten von einem Fachmann durchführen lassen.
Ich hatte deshalb telfonischen Kontakt mit Herr Stolz und bekam eine sehr kompetente und freundliche Beratung.
Dabei hat sich herausgestellt, dass diese Arbeiten gar nicht notwendig sind, und ich mir diese, und somit das Geld sparen kann.

Ich werde in Zukunft auf jeden Fall mein Fahrrad hier vorbei bringen wenn es etwas zu tun gibt.
