Pros:
Location - The hotel is close to the maim train station, many options for food, and walkable to the main areas of interest.

Price - Price is reasonable for the overpriced city.

Self check-in is simple

Cons:
Value for price: You get exactly what you pay for in a cheaper hotel. No frills. A very small room barely big enough for a bed and a suitcase. The tiny bathroom is barely big enough for one person to use.

Zero staff: the bathroom had several issues that needed to be fixed and with no staff available, you have no one to call. The computers at the front desk only allow check-in and out.

Bedding: the single most uncomfortable bed and pillows I’ve ever tried to sleep on. I actually placed my back pack on my bed and used it as a base for the airbag type of pillow provided.

The hotel is a solid 3 stars. The room we stayed had window view which we enjoyed. The bathroom is divided by a sliding door. So keep in mind, there's not much privacy. The location was great. Bahnhofstrasse and Altstadt are walking distance. The surrounding neighborhood has many restaurants and a migrolino close by.
The room was clean, some TV channels didn't work. The locker service is very useful when arriving early or leaving late.

Not good at all. A bed, a toilet and a shower. The toilet and shower are in a step up cubicle and you can feel every single spring in the mattress. Rice paper walls, rust, dust and stained sheets.
This place attracts the most inconsiderate people imaginable. Did not sleep at all due to people yelling down their phones and watching TV until the early hours of the morning. The video I've added gives you an idea of how clearly you'll hear your neighbours.
The heater does not work, so keep all your clothes on to stay warm in the colder months.
Save your money, you'd actually sleep better on the street than you would here.

easyHotel is a budget option for those visiting Zürich.
Last year I was in their unit at Limmatplatz and my stay was smooth and eventless, but this time at City Center it started with the wrong foot... the self check-in system wasn't working and the support phone had a recorded message in... German (!)
Thanks to another guest that asked for the help of someone in a bar nearby, we got our keys and could enjoy the stay.

Check in was contact free and easy enough to use.

Rooms are small and basic, but clean and had the main bits needed for our stay.
Only fault was there was no hair dryer.

The building has no lift inside (wasn't an issue for us)

There's microwaves and kettles on floors 1 and 3 that are available for guests to use.

None of the lights in the room worked and of course there's no one to report it to when everything is automated. Also, if you like hearing everytime the room above you stands up to go to the toilet and then the subsequent flush, this is the place.

Clean and comfortable. Great location. A bit loud at night depending where your room is. I'm not bothered I was on Saturday so that's normal.

They provide you with towels and shower gel.
The self check in is pretty straightforward.

Too much branding. The branding inside the room and around the building is overwhelming.

The positive of this hotel is the location near the train. Very noisy place outside of the bars also inside of the hotel. No soundproof doors or windows. The cleaning of the room is missing.
