This is not your conventional bookstore. It is so much better. Here, you will have great prices and will also get to feel good by giving another chance to those used books, making a small contribution to the environment while enriching yourself with knowledge.

Every single time I go there, it feels like a treasure hunt, and most of the visits end up being fruitfull.

I just love these Bücher Brocky shops (there are more of them, in other cities).

Very nice selection on books, fair amount of English and French books too. Kids and art books are worth a detour.

Simply the best second hand book shop I have ever seen. Nice and knowledgable people, the books are in good shape and an impressive selection.
It is a pleasure to browse through their books every once in a while.

I'm in love with this place. Staff is really nice, friendly and helpful, books are too cheap and English section is not bad. Definitely I will come back.

Is there any system here...? I went to the English section, and I couldn't find a coherent order for the books (certainly not alphabetical) making it quite impossible to browse! I left without buying anything which was so sad, because normally I LOVE second-hand book shops!!

When I first moved to Zürich this place was my second home. Large selection of the most random assortment of English books, and all of them extremely inexpensive. Compared to Orell Füssli where you can spent 30+ CHF for a single book, this place is a godsend. If you enjoy reading and are looking for inexpensive books in English or another language, make this your first stop.

I had been wanting to check out the Bücher Brocky for a while and finally made it last week. It’s a little tricky to find but once you know where it is, it’s a hop and a skip away from Bahnhof Enge. (I actually stopped by while I was waiting for my next train.)

The Brocky has SO many books and all super reasonably priced (between CHF 3-5 for most). The arrangement of the books is so so… it was quite difficult to find what I was looking for in the English section but to be fair - this is a Brocky and they constantly have donations coming in so sorting everything can’t be easy.

Will definitely be going again!!
