I highly recommend buying your next hi-fi set up at Best Hi-Fi. The manager Shay is extremely knowledgable and very approachable. Like other reviewers, I at no time felt pressured into making a purchase--despite all the attention that Shay devoted to finding me the perfect set of speakers. He sat me down and for half an hour we listened to records together on different kinds of speakers so he could gauge my listening preferences and guide me toward a set of speakers that would best suit my tastes. He arranged shipping, allowed me to pay in installments, calibrated my turntable personally, and dispensed many other small kindnesses. When, after purchasing the equipment, I had a problem wiring my new system, Shay was extremely responsive to my questions and together we quickly resolved the issue. I am very happy with the result. If in the future I need to make another hi-fi purchase, I will certainly return to Best Hi-Fi.

As someone daunted by communicating in Swiss German, I'd like to add that Shay speaks and jokes in impeccable English. Two small, well-trained dogs--Joy and Prince--roam the store and chew on discarded speaker cables. Downtown Zurich can be stuffy; Shay's charming shop is a wonderful exception.

I went to Best Hifi looking for some random cables. I only had high denomination bills and the owner did not have the right change. He let me have the cables and just asked I come back the next week with payment.

Will definitely go back when I need more parts.

I don’t know where to start from, but definitely the best experience than any other hi-fi shop I have visited in Zürich.
Shay, the owner, was extremely kind and willing to provide support on various questions I had. He connected the sound setup I was looking for and was kind enough to let me connect to bluetooth and check the sound with my music from natel. He was witty, cool and everything you would expect at such place. I am super happy with my purchase (Acoustic energy, Taga audio, Como) and can only recommend the shop.

Great offer - some hard to find brands, like Peachtree Nova. Very knowledgable and helpfull owner. Visit the shop, you won’t regret it

Guten Tag
Ich wollte mich nochmals für die fröhlichen Tag bedanken. Es hat spass gemacht die unterschiedlichen Lautsprecher zu testen. Die nette und geduldige Beratung, da ich mich selbst nicht so gut auskenne, war sehr begrüssenswert. Meine Erfahrung war sehr erfreulich .
