Really nice hotel in great location right by station. We would have given it 5/5, but the lack of a room fridge, the lack of an ability to increase the thermostat on the heated towel rail in bathroom and main bedroom to a noticeable tempature, and the early closure (10pm) of the hotel bar, meant that this hotel just missed getting top marks. In positives beds are comfy, room was spacious with balcony and excellent shower, breakfast was a good variety, with the fresh fruit salad being a personal favourite, all very tasty. Overall a great comfortavk hotel with friendly service, which I would recommend.

Nice. Nice Room and breakfast. Quiet and near the train station.
Unfortunately we asked for a late check out and the room cleaning knock at the door. I had to go out and at the receptionist remind me that I was late for checking out. She finally found that we asked for a late check out after paying the bill. Not really ???? ????
I have to work and wait in the hall.

Elevator was small but was very functional

Rooms were very nice and comfy. Loved that they balconies

Breakfast was great! Loved their menu

Staff were very respectful accommodating and responsive

Overall, our stay was perfect. Would definitely recommend to my family and friends, and i'll def stay there again

Have stayed in the Baxter (formerly Visperhof) many times and always enjoyed it. However this time not so much. I checked in late and no staff were in the hotel, and unfortunately my room was right next to the elevator, and it kept me from sleeping until very late then woke me early in the morning. The hotel wasn’t busy either so I could have easily switched rooms had someone been there to help.

I didn’t like seeing a dog in the breakfast room either, I do not believe pets should be allowed inside hotels where guests are eating - outside is fine.

The breakfast is great with one exception - I wish they had a toaster! I love a piece of toast in the morning…

Lovely hotel, next to train station
1hr to Zermatt
Clean & friendly helpful staff
We dropped our luggages early morning & heading to Zermatt.

Many eateries around this hotel.
Coop supermarket is jus nearby!

Room where decently large. We managed to open 3 big luggages.

Room: 8/10
Comfortable bed & pillows
Clean

Facilities: no idea

Breakfast: 8/10
Typical breakfast with bread, pastries, egg, ham. Pls go before 9am, by 8.30am the hot bacons were all gone ????
They are not refilling

Will recommend this hotel for those who can’t find a place in zermatt like we do or feel that Zermatt is too expensive.

Recommend to do: jus 1 day to zermatt, with Gornergrat visit.

Start ur day early
U shld be able complete all in jus 1 day

The hotel was very convenient, across from the train station. The room I stayed in was clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable, just wish there was more than 1 pillow, but I didn't ask as I was only staying one night. The cafe attached to the hotel was excellent, best coffee my whole trip. The breakfast was very good, with lots of choice. Will definitely stay again.

Loved the hotel ! Many amenities, great location in relation to the train station. Welcoming staff, especially Olff, who manned the front desk upon our arrival. He was able to procure early check in so we could catch our train. He even carried our luggage up to the 3rd floor as the lift was out that day. Comfortable, modern room, with air conditioning, also, the best breakfast of our stay in Switzerland. Our compliments to this hotel’s staff & management !!! Thank You !!!
