Spectacular views and the most amazing property you could ask for in the mountains. Excellent modern rooms, great hot breakfast, the most delicious food at their signature Chinese restaurant and an indoor heated pool and spa. Everything you would need to make your vacation memorable. We end up coming here every year for skiing as the train up to the mountains is 50 mtrs away. Couldn’t ask for a more convenient location and a better property to make the holiday experience incredible. They should open more properties around Switzerland. Highly recommend it! In all seasons.

The hotel itself is amazing; the rooms, the service, it’s all really great.

The problem is their lack of communication and attention to detail for delivery meals; perhaps due to their busy restaurant, they constantly get orders wrong.

They would sometimes claim to have processed your order when they haven’t, and they would deliver the wrong items half the time. Although the food is great, considering the price, I believe the take out service should definitely be better.

If the kitchen capacity is limited, they shouldn’t bite off more than they can chew. It is simply frustrating on both sides; having to call the restaurant over and over again to get the right order, and receiving calls constantly to correct orders.

Entering the VIU makes you feel beeing in Hong Kong, Shanghai or Singapore out of the furniture and overall decoration of the venue. So liking it or not is very personnal and a matter of taste. For the rest, more objectively, we are a little under the usual standards with regards to breakfast, room comfort (kitchen smell), or lunch. So quite disappointed I have to say and would certainly opt for the amazing Palace just next by on a next trip.

Charming alpine hotel with a refreshing Chinese twist in art and restaurant. Rooms are spacious with great views on the mountain range. Enjoyed the stay.

Great asian food and views. Lively sit out place too.

Location is perfect. Just a 50-80mtrs from bus and train terminals.

The best Gin Tonic ever! The barman is first class

Also, the Chinese Restaurant is excellent. Recommended!

Super nice hotel with good breakfast and Mountain View rooms and swimming pool! I had nice stay! Please get the Karaoke room ready as well! Looking forward to it!

A recently renovated hotel which has a lot of the new owner’s charm imprinted into it. Love the East Meets West design and Chinese influences. Rooms are massive with a balcony & amazing view. Spa is lovely and nearly empty each time we went despite hotel feeling busy. Food in restaurant was unexpectedly delicious - and the service was some of the best I’d ever experienced in Switzerland. Fresh orange juice machine at breakfast is a highlight. Great location to access the train to reach slopes, and all of Villars at your doorstep. Free parking.

Areas for improvement: the restaurant still feels a bit unwelcoming, and not super cosy/atmospheric. For winter time, I still always look for the cosy factor. Maybe lights too bright? The hot food at breakfast is not great especially considering standard of the restaurant. The different key cards for different access was confusing.
