Rooms are large and spacious. But breakfast was including entirely animal-based food. As a vegan, it was very difficult. There were many cereals, good, but there was only cow's milk.

I believe and trust that the hotel management will do something about it. I hope to leave happily on my next visit.

Very comfy hotel with reasonable rates.
Staff is super friendly and the rooms are up to date.
Balcony, which came along with a standard room, is a big plus.
Restaurant offers regional dishes, breakfast buffett offers everything you need.
Located close to the highway, with enough parking spaces (free!)
Would stay again!

I liked this hotel, the staff were welcoming and helpful , rooms were clean an good size with a nice little balcony. I would stay again.

Great experience. We really appreciated the great standard of the rooms, especially the very comfy beds. The hotel is very clean and the staff very helpful and well-mannered. The breakfast offers high quality Swiss products, it is worth having breakfast here.

It was a great experience to stay at Hotel NewStar. The room is clean and large. Fast internet WIFI speed. The hotel locates next to a big mall, so shopping is an easy thing.

Some little things to complain: The inhouse restaurant provides a nice dinner but just a little bit too salty to me. The bed and comforter are very European style and size. It feels a little small for me from US, who used to sleep in normally US's standard or queen size beds.

I think it is ok for a short stay, but for a longer one like mine, it is a bit uncomfortable. There is no washing machine and there is no laundry service at all, so you need to go to St. Gallen to a laundry store. Also, I learnt later that I should have gotten a card for public transport but no one gave it to me while I was there.

The room has a lot of light and the furniture are new. The location is very good as it is very close to the highway.

We were very happy with our stay: friendly staff, helpful, nice and clean rooms and very good dinner in hotel restaurant. Would highly recommend

Modern, spacious and very clean rooms.
Good restaurant with nice food as well as kids meals, which was a good surprise as they're not mentioned on the official menu.
And most important, extremely friendly staff, both at reception and restaurant.
Highly recommended.
