Above all expectations. It's probably one of the cheapest hotels in St. Gallen AND has
- very clean rooms
- super friendly and helpful staff
- healthy and fresh breakfast (fresh fruits and bread, fair trade bio jams, etc)
- directly in the center
It's all tiny but cosy. If you don't need a spacious, luxurious hotel, this is the one to go.

Wonderful hotel. I booked it at the last minute because my flight was delayed and the host couldn’t check me in at mid night. And I know it has 24h check-in. So I went in the hotel and spent my night. Then, the next morning I had a nice breakfast. So I recommend this hotel for its convenient check-in

Service and proximity ok, small and dirty room, a lot of bad choice of two. Exaggerated price for this hotel. no parking space, No person at the reception during the day. you have to manage, after having managed to recover your keys to find your room. Not suitable for wheelchairs or strollers (risk of theft at the entrance) not enough wifi to work.

From the front door to reception you will need to climb and entire floor of steps as the reception is on the first floor. Hotel Elite Garni is a 24/7 self service Hotel at times self checkin with a key dispensed from the front door kiosk. There is a reception manned at times.

There is a meals area which caters for breakfast if you have it included in your booking stay.

The rooms have no airconditioning but you can open the double glazed window. Rooms are basic without a security safe, no ironing board or iron, no mini bar, no tissues, but a small wardrobe. The room we had did include a small screen TV, a large bed & small single bunk bed, tea making facilities, a fridge, and a small desk and bathroom en-suite.

When checking into the Hotel Elite Garni you’ll find its a 24/7 self service Hotel. So when the reception is unmanned you will need to approach the self service kiosk at the locked front door, on the kiosk screen choose your language, enter your booking code, filling your booking details, ensure everything is correct, select the country you originate from and a key for the front door and your room will be dispensed. Then you will need to haul your luggage up the stair to the first floor where you will find a lift, but if your lucky find your allocated room on the first floor.

There is one excellent USB charging point in the room and also there are plenty of PowerPoints, which are both a bonus.
Bathroom is quite small but sufficient. You will find WiFi provided in the room but the WiFi password indicated in the room maybe incorrect (we asked staff why we couldn’t connect and were told a different password).

Breakfast is served on the first floor next to reception.

Staff (if you bump into one) are very friendly and helpful.

Pros: Polite and helpful personnel, easy check in at the automated machine in the entrance, relatively good breakfast

Cons: The room could be cleaner, the WiFi was awful, the locks at the doors are a joke
