Top choice for area museums and of global stature. Excellent permanent collection of classic modern and contemporary art; world-class (and frequently unique) exhibitions. ‘Manageable’ as the museum space is easily explored thoroughly in 60-90 mins. The Renzo Piano designed building and cultural landscape warrant a visit on their own.

Good area easy to look everything. Sad there underground floor was not open. I was tempting to see how all the building looks like in the inside.
One thing is because there collection is good to go but it is quite expense for the amount you’ll see in it.
Only one floor museum. Feels like five galleries are combined in one floor which it takes like a hour to see everything

Visited Foundation Beyeler on a sunny Spring day and it could not have gone any better.
The art museum was hosting a Wayne Thiebaud exhibition at the time of my visit. The exhibition was exceedingly beautiful. I liked that the description of notable paintings were printed on little pamphlets in various languages so you didn't need to crowd the painting to read more about it.
The museum building had nice architecture and open windows and the garden was a pleasant place to rest or draw.

An incredibly well curated collection and museum!

The gift shop is the bomb!
The cafe is extraordinary!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this museum and it is fitting that the man who started Art Basel should do this.

Beautiful building and nice exhibition
with the tourist card, you get 50% discount ???????? we were here during art Basel and it was not too busy

Splendid space set in a wonderful garden that backs up to truly picturesque pastures and hills. The building, designed by Renzo Piano is a pleasure, giving ample light and space for the curators to present the collection, whether from the permanent collection or visiting works being shown at the moment. Special commendations to all those that made the current Wayne Thiebaud retrospective possible!

One of the most beautiful museums I have visited. The rooms were big and open, the exhibitions well put together. Pamphlets with a lot of information. Would definitely recommend and come back to if I come back to Basel.

What a disappointment that their Van Gogh paintings were not on display. Sure they had one Monet’s water lilies and the building was nice. Of course they were all hyped about the upcoming Basquiat exhibition but most of what they had was not to my taste. The Doris Salcedo was hardly art. After leaving I wanted my money back. Good thing I had the Basel card and admission was half priced.
