Not so good, to be honest! Maybe it was a wrong evening for the staff and the chef but I personally ate a excessively thin pizza and also not well cooked since its center was totally limp and I couldn't eat it without folding it on the edge.
One of us ate the maxi hamburger and it was very salted and the bread - even it was vary tasty - was too much compact so it was nearly impossible to eat entirely.
Personally speaking, I don't like the veranda's glance but the interior is more beautiful.
I'll give a new try to this restaurant then I'll update this review.

Honestly … the delicious food, the huge portions, the super kind service and also the fact you can have the dough of your pizza « integrale » - I for sure give 5 stars. Was super super yummy

A big thank you to the owner, i felt the warm italian hospitality when i visited on 10th Jan ????????.
I arrive at about 250pm, and they had already closed for lunch...however, the owner was really kind to ask the chef and team 'hold off' closing the kitchen.
He asked me if I was okay with a simple Arrabiata. I said, of cos! Its what i actually wanted!

So, no guesses, I had the Penne Arrabiata. The portion was huge and the sauce was good.
After i was done, the owner asked if I wanted desserts or coffee.
I had an Espresso and tiramisu to complete my homely italian meal. It was very delicious too! I recommend visiting them if you visit Lugano. Please make sure you call before heading over (i think they close at 230pm for lunch)

The best Pizza in Lugano so far. I had Pizza in some places here but in del Sole it is the most special and tasty one ever.
The dolce is very fine, house made and from perfect quality and taste.
The people there have experiences and know how to serve a guest in a perfect and super friendly way. The atmosphere is very familiar. We enjoyed the dinner and will come back again.

????????????Il Sole is a genuine and historic Pregassona's restaurant. In synthesis: good quality, right price, large quantity and kind service. It's just a bit crowded (always)..I love pizza(ask for their secret and super special "Lo vede che Stuzzica-Pizza"). Pasta plates are huge!!! Buon appetito.

Friendly service, big portions, delicious food and fair prices. My favourite restaurant in Lugano area for more than 20 years, same management since 1991!! Pasta and pizza are amazing but their meat and fish are not to be overlooked! Super recommended

Everyone from the staff is incredibly nice, and the pizzas we ordered were amazing! Even our dog got a treat and water. Perfect experience!
