This Temple was built in 1696. It is very nice, elegant building in the center of the old city.
It is a rare example of reformed architecture. The inside was greatly altered.Nowadays Temple du Bas is not only a place of worship, but also the music room of Neuchatel. When I visited the place there was a concert at the amazing music room.

Le temple du bas. C’est un temple réformé situé au centre de la zone piétonne de Neuchâtel. C’est un bâtiment moderne qui prend de la place au centre de la vieille ville. Mais c’est un lieu qui sert d’église mais aussi, la salle est utilisée pour des concerts et des séances de cinéma. Un lieu soi-disant multi culturel, mais cette bâtisse reste une église. Une église froide.

Petite salle de concert.. Mais pour des chœurs ou du chant classique lyrique.. Une des meilleures salles de la Ville !

Скромная по виду протестантская церковь, построена из желтого известняка, как и большинство старых зданий и сооружений в Невшателе. Камень, который добывали из местных карьеров вблизи Невшателя, возле деревни Hauterive. считался достаточно твердым, но при этом легким в обработке. На сегодняшний день ресурсы этого камня практически исчерпаны, поэтому разработку остановили, чтобы сохранить известняк для реставрации таких известных зданий, как Коллегиальная церковь. Рядом с церковью установлен питьевой фонтан со скульптурой льва. Зверь так широко открыл пасть, что кажется будто у него дырки в этой пасти, в общем, получилось, некрасиво. Фонтан Лев построен в том же году, что и фонтан Грифон - в 1664. Лев, как царь зверей, по аналогии с грифоном, носил символическое значение мощи правителей, обитавших в замке.
