Excellent service and friendly staff, great breakfast. However, bathrooms were very tired,probably dated in the late 60's and need to be renovated. No other hotel nowadays has such curtains shower....

Nice plaxe to stay if travel to Lake Murten
The 3-star Hotel Murtenhof & Krone is housed in a medieval noble residence in the old town of Murten. The hotel has a terrace with a wonderful view of Lake Murten.

We organised an event here, and the owners were the most accommodating and worked really hard to make our event go as smoothly as possible. Despite the extreme hot weather that week, we had an absolutely amazing time. Would highly recommend this hotel both for events and for traditional hotel stays, the guys are really professional and take pride in providing great service, as they should.

Cozy and neat hotel with a nice view from breakfast area to the lake. Rooms are tidy but nothing special. Amenities are bare minimum, suitable for business trips. Main downside is how much you can hear from the room next door (phone calls, etc...)

Fantastic place. The staff was the most friendly and helpful I have ever experienced. I stayed in a few different rooms over a few weeks and each one was completely unique.
Breakfast is included and it's very impressive, complete with crepes and croissants fresh out of the oven.
The staff helped me find the best option for parking during my stay and even coordinated with other hotels for nights that were fully booked.
Location is great, within the old city walls. Plenty of restaurants right out the door and the coast is a quick 5 minute walk. Supermarket and train station right around the corner.
Only complaint is that the wifi in some rooms isn't great, but it's a simple tradeoff for staying in what is basically an old castle.

Very cozy hotel located within the walls of an old stronghold. Unique architecture inside, old walls come together with new equipment. Good breakfast, great view from the dining room to the lake side. I truly recommend it.

When we decided to stay here for a night we didn't expect a restaurant like this. The food was very delicious and the service was outstanding. Overall an awesome restaurant I can warmly recommend.
