Calling this a boutique hotel is a huge stretch. No lobby, just a small nondescript breakfast area. Great location though and it was clean. Room was large and we found parking on the street out front for which the hotel charged 16 Euro. The shower was child-sized. Great sound insulation from the windows and our room overlooked the river with a stunning view of the Alps and the windows open let the sound of the river in. No AC in the room which could be a problem since our room was a little warm even with a high of 75 degrees. Breakfast was good with scrambled eggs, sausage and the usual fresh breads, etc. The breakfast staff were excellent and kept things clean and stocked. We paid $300 with breakfast and parking for a 3-person room. A fridge would have been nice and the supplied fan had no low setting so we had to turn it off because of the noise.

Staff is very friendly. Breakfast was very varied and I loved the scrambled eggs. We had a fan and that was good. The blinds were great and also there was no noise, it was closed to old town and some towers where you can see Luzerne from the top. My only complain is that they sent us the visitor card after we left, we didn't know that we could have that, it would have saved us money, ask for it when you arrive.

Staff are great but the rooms don't have a kettle, microwave, mirror is only in the bathroom. Room service doesn't sweep the floor in your room. The vegetarian option for the breakfast buffet isn't great. They should have beans, hash browns, they only have bread and cheese, cereals and fruits.

Raja and Patrick had been so helpful in both reception and food preparation. Patrick was a passionate front desk officer who was so happy to share which route is the best to make our journey more efficient, and other many useful advices on trains, etc. Raja was really friendly to our kids and offered children cutlery and played with the kids. He really brightened up our days.

Hotel was very clean and room was nice. The staff was very helpful. The girl who checked me in gave a lot of advice on where to find mountain trips and the gentlemen at night was also very helpful and let me use the hotel phone when I couldn't dial from Switzerland to Germany from my cell phone. Just a block or two walk and you are right in the center of town where all the shops and restaurants are. Good breakfast which was included in the price.

We picked this location because it had 4 separate beds and we really enjoyed this hotel. The staff was extremely helpful (storing luggage, breakfast) and our room was fun and funky. Our room overlooked the Reuss waterway near the historic and beautiful chapel Bridge. Tons of shopping and restaurants nearby but not so loud at night because the hotel is just past the loud areas. Perfect stay!

We stayed in this hotel in May,2022. We chose this place based on great reviews but were quite disappointed after visiting there. Half of the property is used by Institute for Hospitality training(unsure of proper name). Rooms provide good view of river but you cant open balcony door due to lot of insects. Room also had mosquitoes. Breakfast provided is fine. There was not much staff available at hotel to help you in any query
