Stayed 2 nights. Small bathroom but everything you need.

We were next to the elevator and could hear the rooms beside us/elevator through the night.

The room fan wasn’t great, the street was loud so the room got quite hot. Comfy bed.

The no food in the rooms rule is pretty brutal. Good location. Staff was mostly friendly. Wifi was decent. Safety felt good.

The pool is small but seems good if you want to cool off or if you have children. The hot tub was pretty gross and didn’t appear to be treated or cleaned in some time

Small, hot room. Ceiling fan didn’t function. Hallways smelled of smoke. No soap in bathroom.

Positives.
Location.
Pretty clean.
Pool was nice.

Paying dearly for location.

This hotel is the most affordable in the area for a reason. It’s extremely outdated and feels dirty, although we booked at Rösli Guest House but were put in a hotel down the street called Baslertor. The staff at the front desk who checked us in was not friendly and was very impatient with us and pretended like he couldn’t understand anything we were saying (as native English speakers). I should’ve bit the bullet and splurged on a nice hotel in hind sight even thought we were here for only one night.

Great location! Very basic room. Cleanliness Is a 3. Can hear a lot of street noise. We kept the window shut at night and used a fan. That worked well. Very very small bathroom. Very comfortable beds. Only two electrical outlets in our room. I don't know about the other rooms.

No elevators so one star less for that, otherwise it’s lovely stay for family or friends…rooms are nice and tidy…location is perfect..staff is cordial…
All in all it’s a will be back kinda place..and a true value for money…

Could be better in some aspects such as air conditioning, kitchen supplies or cooking options in general.
However, not too much to complain about - a nice room with a daily cleaning service in an excellent location, and for a decent price.
The staff were also nice and allowed us to store our luggage as we arrived a few hours before check in.
Overall: Recommened if you are planning to see the city and travel throughout the day.
