We arrived in Luzern in the afternoon and walked the rivers edge and surrounding streets. To our joy we found Il Cotile and snapped a picture to call when they opened.

Wow, one of the finest dining experiences i have had in many years. My wife and i phoned to see if there was availability, thank goodness there was.

We were greeted like family. We let them know we are pescatarian and for them to make the meal (4 or 5 course) and wine. What a smile from our host Salvatore and off he went. He returned over the dining experience with a joyous beam of delight and incredible dishes. From appetizers, salads, main course and deserts.

We did go to another resultant the next night, after sitting and reviewing the menu we both looked at one another and decided to go back to Il Cortile. Another amazing dining experience!!!!

Excellent food, excellent service! A local recommended, I had the pasta and Rabbit dish, My husband had pasta with shrimp... everything was really good. Perfect presentation and the prices fit the meal!! I recommend!

Best Italian food in Lucerne. Homemade pasta that is so delicious! Wonderful service in a beautiful courtyard in Old Town Lucerne but away from the hordes of tourists. A delightful dinner that we will remember. Definitely check it out.

Very good Italian restaurant. Food is tasty made with fresh ingredients, the service was excellent (super friendly and helpful), and if the weather permits, you can dine in their beautiful garden, tucked away from the busy streets.

Amazing food with lovely service. Romantic atmosphere with a cute courtyard that would be beautiful on a nice day. Highly recommend!

Menus are in Italian or German, but the staff is amazing and explained every option to us to make sure we were comfortable with our selections! Great authentic Italian cuisine! Would highly recommend!

The place is nice and the service elegant but a bit “cold”. The pasta dishes were ok but not good, at least from an Italian pov.

Great service and even better food. I had the pomodoro soup and gnochetti con pancetta, and both were delicious without breaking the bank. The soup was 9 francs and the pasta 24.
