I used this hotel as part of a 7-day honeymoon trip to Switzerland, of which 2 nights were spent in Lucerne. The hotel is around 500 years old so it is not big or luxurious as the big chain hotels, though this isn't necessarily a bad thing since Lucerne is meant to be a small charming town rather than a big bustling city.

My experience has been very positive in this hotel. The location is perfect; you can walk to almost anywhere. The room was small yet very clean and has almost everything one would need, though the windows could've used bug nets to make it easier to open the window for air flow. Breakfast was great with plenty of good options. If you're willing to pay extra, you can opt for the 'Tele Pass' that allows you to use all public transportation in the city for free and do all sorts of activities at great discounts.

The highlight of the experience was the staff. They have been extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with the whole time. I had some luggage complications with my airline, and had it not been for the staff's helpfulness, I would have lost my suitcase and all its contents forever. Special shoutout to Maja Jeger (she gave me permission to use her name) who went above and beyond to help me and my wife.

Location and breakfast are good, but the rooms are horrible. Old uncomfortable matrasses, beds too short for average tp tall people, very very noisy, in the summer the rooms get extremely hot. I would avoid and opt for a more modern building.

Would highly recommend staying here when in Luzern! It is 3-4 mins walk from the Chapel Bridge. The hotel has very old school aristocratic vibes and a nice wholesome breakfast. The rooms are warm and cozy and hospitality is great!

We ate at Sauvage Restaurant and it was Amazing experience! The food was out of this world. High attention to details, every dish was carefully made with local ingredients and great techniques. This is for sure a Michelin Star Restaurant ????.

We had lunch at the Restaurant Wilden Mann. It was one of the best swiss meals me and my wife had. Service staff was very patient and polite, and the food tasted amazing. Restaurant had an amazing traditional Swiss feel which further made the experience a really pleasant one. Highly recommended.

In our trip to Lucerne we stayed at this wonderful gem very conveniently located in the center of town. It is located walking distance from the train station, walking distance to the old town, the Chapel Bridge, the museum, and many chocolate stores. The hotel has old time charm, a good restaurant and a breakfast that is obviously concerned about quality not quantity. Every single person at the desk helped us with our many questions successfully. The rooms were clean, well-stocked and very charming with historic decor. Definitely a good choice for someone wanting to check out Lucern on foot.

We stayed two nights as part of an extension to a river boat cruise. The location was great as were most of the staff. Breakfast was excellent too. Our room was large, clean, and well equipped. My only complaint was the bed. A large king but it was way to hard for my liking. Short on pillow selection too. Overall - a great place to stay!

Nice large room and service good. Ideal situation with short walks to stations and ferries. The only downside was the noise in the dining room in the evening. They obviously cater for large parties and the noise was unbearable. The food was good but the price of wine was ridiculously expensive.
