Amazing hotel for staying in Lucerne - great rooms and locations. kind and helpful front desk and cool interiors. We commented multiple times regarding enjoying our stay - would recommend

This is a wonderful no frills hotel on a budget. Yet it's cozy and comfortable. The reception people are super friendly and helpful. We stayed here for 2 nights.
The breakfast is not luxurious which can't be expected in a budget hotel. Yet it's sufficient and tasty.
Location is wonderful and just 10 mins walk from the Lucern station.

Just steps from the sights but on a quiet street, the Stern is a great basic option (continental breakfast, no air conditioning, micro elevator) for spending a few days in Luzern. The service, especially at breakfast, is very warm, and the staff are even willing to accommodate an earlier sitting if you’re rushing to make the first ferry to Rigi!

I want to thank Stern Hotel for their hospitality. They made us feel like we were at home. The hotel is a perfect example of known Swiss hospitality. The breakfast was so amazing. We also tried their A La Carte Menu.

Lovely helpful staff. I read the other reviews about the unhelpful staff, but our experience was brilliant. location is close to the highway which was helpful for us as we drove, but it's also located in.the old town so a great Location. parking is opposite the hotel, cost us 65€ for two days, so expensive. Breakfast was included in the price and it was actually really good continental Breakfast. rooms are large and comfortable. we had the family room. no tea/coffee or fridge in the room. beds made everyday and towels changed. restaurant inside the hotel.

We enjoyed the stay, and were greeted by a pleasant lady in the afternoon, who arranged to give us a room upgrade. We enjoyed breakfast in the morning, with the attendant visiting regularly. She was cheery and got us hot chocolate. Our stay coincided with the Lucerne light festival, and we were given foil on the windows to protect us from the bright lights, plus multiple e-mails regarding this situation (good communication, so we knew what to expect). Nice location close to shops, historic sites, and all of the light festival displays.

Very nice hotel in the heart of Lucerne at a walking distance from Chapel bridge as well as train station.

The room is spacious and clean. Value for money. Location is slightly further away from main train station, would need to take the tram if you are travelling with large luggages. The reception closed at 1700 in the evening. We are unable to ask for much assistance such as kettle for hot drink. Breakfast was provided on each table as opposed to what we thought in a buffet style, for which I think is a waste as not everyone of us will have bread, jam or cereal in the morning.
