Super friendly staff. The room was large and comfortable. Restaurant was delicious. Would stay again. Also convenient to train and boats.

It wasn’t our best experience. The beds were difficult to sleep in, breakfast was loud due to the open kitchen in the same room. And as we were probably the last guests they expected the warm stuff in the breakfast got cold and nothing got refilled, although we weren’t even late for the breakfast. There were also some leftovers from the former guests below the bed which doesn’t show it has been much cleaned. Overall it was not our nicest experience.

Nice hotel residing in a classic building, in a great location, just in the center of Lucerne.
The single room is not very big, but still gives a good value for the money.
The staff is very polite and helpful.
There are completely free mineral (still/sparkling) water bottles at the reception at all times.
There's also a nice restaurant onsite.

The only thing I didn't like was the lack of a power outlet near the bed in the single room I stayed in.

+ The young staff who prepares and serves breakfast is what I remember most. He is efficient and has a good eye for details.
- The room is out dated and the floor is not heated. The room can get cold at times in January. Luckily they provided slippers

Yeah…no. Where to begin…

Rooms in a maze of stairs that allows a unique experience hearing everything in your bedroom (guests at the reception directly to your bed in the second floor).

Bathrooms are absolutely awful (hair drier with exposed power cables), additionally if you are not staying alone, be prepared to share the experience with your guest in the toilet (glass door: no privacy, no sound dampening light directly in line of sight of the bed. Whether you are showering or brushing your teeth or going number two, it is now a group experience).

The hotel boasts paid parking, what they neglect to mention is that you don’t have free access to your car. Since they have private parking that is not accessible to you as a guest.

Comfortable bed. Location is good, but I would point you towards ibis style rather than this place.

Did I mention that the floor (and bed) vibrate when a bus pass by ?

Oh and before I forget, there was a random 42CHF charge on checkout, didn’t inquire as I just wanted to leave at this point.

P.s: don’t go for the croissants at breakfast, as apparently they serve day(or two)old croissants. Hard as a rock

Room is clean , not too small and not much large.

I never write reviews, but this restaurant is worth it! I have dined here in summer and fall, solo and as a couple, and it is by far my favorite place in Lucerne. The food is always delicious with a wonderful selection of entrees. The service is outstanding, with a special shout-out to Tulia, who always seems happy to have you there! The garden is delightful in warm weather, but inside is cozy and a fun way to watch the chefs create your exceptional meal. The meals are 5-star, but the prices are reasonable by Lucerne standards. I will continue coming back on every visit to Lucerne!
