The hotel itself is a building in old but suitable condition.
Rooms are clean. No air-conditioning. Fan for cooling. However in the evening noise becomes an issue. Reason is the street side located bar below. In summertime not the most convenient location to be. Pricing I guess that is okay due to near center location to train and city? Service wasn't really looking into it therefore unable to judge.

The receptionist is very attentive and helpful. Really appreciate her kind gesture. Arrived in the morning then after we came back in the evening all luggages were already safe and secure in our room. Spacious room. Excellent location very close by the train station. Grocery store in a short distance. Feels like can get everything within a close proximity.

Another quaint little hotel that's only 4 minutes away from the main transportation hub. It's very clean and the sheets and towels are crisp and white. There are eatery everywhere. A pizza joint, Starbucks and McDonald's are downstairs. Burger King is across the street. A lot of places to visit within a mile.

very small room, expected, ok. But VERY loud from bars/club. Asked for a quiet room. It was terrible, even with window closed, earplugs, and fan on. Also, this year price almost double. I have come every year for 10 years. Do not think I can come again.

Irene at the Front Desk was very welcoming and friendly. Everything we needed to know was shared patiently by her. Very pleasant arrival experience.

Rooms were huge and clean. However, the floorboards are a little squeaky when you walk around the room.

Location was awesome, just across the train station. Take note - check in is at Hotel Monopol which is just a few steps away from Hotel Alpina.

Breakfast selection was good and we enjoyed it alot. Great way to start your day in Lucerne!

Amazing location, just minutes from the train station, making it idea for those travelling by train. Part of the Monopol hotel and shares the front desk.

Very accessible from train station especially if visiting places of interest. Electric kettle available with tea/coffee facilities in room though not mentioned in website.

The manager in this hotel is very uneducated and unprofessional, I booked two nights and then they canceled but charged me 3 nights! The reception is so rude!
