Lausanne is home away from home for me i guess. Was only in town for two nights .Amongst good friends who recommended this superb place. Festive vibe with excellent food and drinks. Stayed til midnight and didn't want to leave .. Magnifique

I had a fondue and a lovely board of cold cuts. I enjoyed everything but unfortunately it was too much for me so I couldn't eat the dessert which was included in the menu. The waitress was kind enough to take my glass of wine off the bill since I didn't get the dessert.

We dined at this restaurant in early June. We ordered a Fondue and a platter of cured meats and cheeses... along with two 1-liter bottles of water. The food was average, although I found the Fondue to be quite acrid for my taste... but the most bitter thing to swallow was paying 20 euros for 2 liters of water in a country where water flows from every rock. Truly a bad negative note. I don't even pay that much for 2 liters of beer or wine!

Famous place in Lausanne for eating fondue, we tried it and it is worth the fame. However, the service was a little rude, that's why the 4 stars. If you want to visit here, it is better to book a table since it is always crowded.

Despite the website mentioning that the kitchen closes at 10 pm, the waitress refused to serve us at 9.30 pm; so they may be good but apparently they either don't like foreigners or they like to close early?

Great food, including traditional dishes and wines from the region. Old ambiance, yet charming. The noise can be a bit too loud for conversations. The service is good.

I went to Pinte Besson on 8th of June 2022 and I have an incredible time! I wanted to eat the authentic Swiss fondue and I was lucky enough to reach Pinte Besson! Apart from the delicious fondue, the wine was great (mainly the Calamin). I was served by Maria, who was incredibly nice! In few words, I couldn't have had a better evening :) So if you are in Lausanne, make yourself a favor and visit this lovely bistro!

This was an interesting place. It is a very old restaurant in the town of Lausanne. The food and wine was really good. The fondue particularly was great. The environment was old wood and brick that look like they’ve been there a long time. There is a small bar in the back that is know for having at least one drunk local and sure enough we saw one drunk local. The staff was very friendly and tolerant of our broken french and enjoyed talking English with us.
