Small and cosy. Food was great, apparently the menu does not change often so they are probably very good at preparing what is on the menu. Can find food for every taste. The starters can be also ordered as a full plate. Recommend to sit inside the restaurant as the restaurant is located at a busy junction.

Among all the cafes in Lausanne, Café des Avenues is by far my favorite.
I have been coming here for the last 4-5 years. The food here is fantastic, especially their entrecôte, but the service and people are fantastic as well.
It is always a pleasure to come over here and be greeted by all the employees, who are always polite, smiling, and supportive - I am almost friends with all of them.
As a role model, it shows how to manage a great coffee shop that feels like a home :)

Thanks to the all the people working here for being very kind, friendly and customer focussed and making our time to have a couple of drinks and dinner over here very pleasant. It was not easy finding a place that is open on Sunday in Lausanne but I can definitely recommend Cafe des Avenues. The burger was delicious as was the Gamba Salad.

This place is like no other. There is something special in the decoration (sofa, books...) which makes you feel at home.
Food is simple, yet excellent, with importance to organic and "home made". Service is the perfect balance between kindness, care and politeness.

Good food at affordable prices.

Place: cosy cafe-restaurant not far from the lake.

Service: attentive and quick, we got the menu served quickly without compromising the quality.

Food: we had the menu, composed bu soup or salad both well prepared and entrecot. The meat was tender as is usual in Switzerland. I ordered it medium rare and it was cooked like that. Pepper sauce also quite good. The meat came with fries, homemade which was a plus. The salmon tartare looked also very nice.

Good place for a drink in the terrace or lunch menu. Recommended

Great service and the food is really good. We had entrecôte and it was perfectly cooked.
Desert was also excellent.

Delicious steak tartar and nice casual place to eat, especially if you are lucky enough to get a table outside and enjoy some afternoon sun. The service is always prompt and friendly.
