The cafe is oldstyle but atmosphere is warm. The service is nice. However the pizza was avarage and full of salt.

Owned by a Father and son I believe. A very welcoming comfortable spot and reasonably priced. Staff were very nice. Excellent home made Italian food. Had the Spaghetti bolognese. Highly recommended!

Very nice place, unfortunately the service and food are not good. Extremely rude waiters and food had to be returned twice

San Remo is not a fancy place and it's not for fancy food. It's old and worn and the food is simple and good. This is a great place to go for "steak frites" or charcoutte (sauerkraut with sausage and fat back). Good prices good service. This is not a five star restaurant, though it might have been fifty years ago. But when you're tired and hungry mad want basic did done well its heaven.

I saw in the menu outside that this restaurant offers spaghetti with sea food which I like so I entered. Before ordering i noticed that some clients paid by cash so i asked the waitress if they accept cards because i have no cash and she confirmed that i can pay by cash. I ordered the pasta which was the worst i had in my lufe, I couldn't even finish half of the plate and asked for the rest to take away with the intention to give it to some homeless people in my way. Now it came to payment and the waitress said that the mashine does not work anymore!!! I was so annoyed and told her that she confirmed payment by card wad possible!! She said it stopped working just now!!!! I had to pay with some cash I had which does not even belong to me.. And the waitress with another man who looks like the owner were angry at me as if it was my mistake!! No apology nothing. Bad food, bad attitude.. Just avoid.

Avoid this place at all costs!!
The good reviews are probably from the owners!

1) the food (most important factor in a place) is plastic!!! Im not joking, they use frozen veggies and food because one of the plates (named dorade avec pommes de terre et haricots verre) had still frozen green beans. The second plate (pasta with white sauce) was tasteless and finally the pizza wAs very average priced at 18$ margarita pizza!! Insane!
2) no AC in the restaurant
3) we ordered tap water, and he brought three 50cl bottles that he told us later, priced at 4,50/ bottle --u003e water was 13,50 for three bottle!!

I understand thAt the prices are bit higher than most of EU countries, but some restaurants are not worth your money because the food is not good and tasteless!

A good place for dinner. Quite, little, informal place. Rates are reasonable especially as per Geneva standards. Pizza and beer are perfect budget combo.
