What a wonderful place. Beautiful instruments. Me. Lebeau is extremely knowledgeable and a pleasure to meet!

A quick update - another wonderful experience. I travel to Geneva often, miss Vidoudez (who made one of my bows), and have found M. Lebeau to more than make up for it. Beautiful instruments, a true artist, and welcoming to me as a visitor. Thank you!

Franscois Lebeau is a real professional violin maker with great sense for estetic ,comfort and understanding of the complete needs of musicians in the violin family.
Franscois is not only one of my best freinds and colleague , but a true inspiration as a teacher in my first days in the violin-making world,later on as a co-teacher in a violin-making workshop ,and a great resource for sharing professional ideas.

I met François in an urgent moment. I am still very thankful to him and owe him a favor. Thank you for fixing the problem on my cello without any hesitation. If I am around, I will definitely say hello and ask for his opinion.

I have not found a bad luthier in Geneva, but this guy's instruments are really nice, and is very attentive to customers, definitely an excellent violinmaker. To be recommended.

Je rejoins aussi le commentaire négatif publié.

Je suis passée en ce début d’après-midi pour poser deux questions. Quel accueil !

J’ai vraiment eu l’impression de déranger et pourtant malgré mon masque, je ne pense pas avoir été désagréable.

Apparemment c’était le cas car j’ai demandé à ce Monsieur si je le dérangeais et il m’a dit « c’est fait ». Jamais un luthier ne m’avait parlé ainsi ... tout ça pour demander le prix d’un remèchage d’un archet et pour contrôler l’état d’un violon d’étude 3/4.

Il n'avait visiblement pas envie de s’occuper d’une nouvelle cliente... dommage.

Il a fallu de quelques instants seulement pour se sentir mal accueilli chez ce luthier. Les autres avis positifs que j'ai lus et suivis m'ont étonné car la personne était assez désagréable et méprisante et n'avait visiblement pas envie de vendre. Je vous conseille de loin les autres luthiers à Plainpalais (côté Carouge) qui sont beaucoup plus sympathiques, serviables et professionnels.

La premiere fois,j’ai changé le crins de mon archet Sartory,et j’ai vu comment il travail, et j’étais très satisfait .
Après j’ai fait mon chevalet et j’ ai compris que j’avais a fair avec un docteur de violin.
Un person très sympathique et professionnel.
A suggéré à tous que ils aime même le plus minuscule détail.
SUPERBE ????????.
