Hear me out, this place looks a bit dated but supposed to look like the 19th century manor houses. Being such a big room and having a large bathroom, it’s so comfortable. Huge beds with thick dense mattresses. Le service est fantastique. Perfect temperature controlled rooms. Thanks to a great night sleep I can go explore more.

Pricey. Quality interior, however a little warn in areas. Bistro restaurant nice & accommodating for little ones, food was good. Gym too small. Helpful front desk & man working the valet was nice.. though waiting 20 minutes on the street because they only have 1 person working - this needs to be improved given the price of valet & overnight parking.

Really great place with a short walk to Lake Geneva. The staff and service were very friendly and helpful. We thought you got a 4 star hotel for 3 star prices. We'll definitely use this place in the future

Located so strategic in the center of the city. Lots of nearby shops and restaurants such as kebab, etc. Room is cozy, cleaning service is also ok. Just need to reconfirm to the staff more detail esp when you're arriving before the check in time. Provide free mineral water in the fridge

The staff are excellent.

the furniture is old and needs to be changed (disappointing).

the sound of trains is annoying because of their location near to the hotel

it is difficult to park the car to unload bags because the street in front of the hotel is narrow and there are only one or two parking spaces for public use.

the bed is very comfortable.

the breakfast is very, very limited

Room was a bit outdated and fridge didn’t work. Beds were very comfortable and not outside noise at night. Nothing too spectacular but good for a weekend trip due to location

Excellent service and amenities to its guests! I spent a week in June/2022 there. The Hotel is near Cornavin, and the main tourist sites of Geneva. The rooms are neat, high-standard and comfortable.

Hotel Royal in Geneva is very centrally located. A short walk away from the train station, so very convenient. The reception and service is quite good, although the rooms did feel a bit dated in a few aspects. I was in Room 950 on the fifth floor. For e.g. the thermostat was all analogue with no markings or temperature readout, so much so that the lowest setting also felt a bit warm. Furthermore the extractor fan in the toilet was non-functional. Having said that, the bed and bedding was all very comfortable, so were the other provided amenities. Breakfast left a bit to be desired but the pastries and coffee was well above average. On the plus side, the WiFi was absolutely blazing at 300Mbps+ for download as well as upload speeds, very impressed indeed!
Overall I'd recommend Hotel Royal for a convenient and comfortable stay in the centre of Geneva at a reasonable price.
